What an amazing and educational experience! I had the privilege of being a member of the first cohort of entrepreneurs for the GrowBiz program at the 26 West Entrepreneurship Center! At the beginning of the program, I was a hopeful founder who was hoping to open a second paint your own pottery studio. By graduation, I was ready to open thanks to the lessons learned and connections made. I can not overstate the value of having an experienced group of entrepreneur mentors who are generous with their time and expertise. Distractions On The Island pottery studio on Holmes Beach OPENED Dec. 13th. Thank you!

Additionally, I had access to a grant from the Digital Collective. We worked closely on development of ads for the Anna Maria Island trolleys. The collaboration was a fabulous experience. I am very please with the final result.

Beyond the GrowBiz program, the Center has much to offer the community and contributes to economic growth.

This center is a total shining gem of a resource! I've already benefitted so much from their help. I was fortunate to get advised on how to get my husband's and my small business off the ground-- I'm talking getting real, actionable steps. I also attended one of their free classes on social media marketing, and it was phenomenal. Just being surrounded by other locals interested in improving their small businesses was an inspiration. I can't wait to see the workshop offerings for the fall. I highly recommend the 26 West Center (you do NOT have to be an SCF student to gain access!) and I look forward to learning more with them!
