I wanted to go to one of the thrift stores in Mammoth, but they were closed. Heading down south going through Bishop. I saw this used gear store and jumped in. Aqua was cool and there is so much gear is pretty wild. It seems like people finish up Pacific Crest Trail, and just leave their stuff there. Fishing cycling hiking you name it there’s a lot of stuff to look through. I got a sweet deal on an osprey backpack and some keen water, hiking shoes. Then I got out of there before I spent more money on some of the other cool stuff I saw like high power, binoculars, cycling helmet, cycling shoes, waterproof jackets, etc.
Eric the owner was very cool. Also, if there’s something you want that he doesn’t have he can ship it to you or if you see something you’d like, but you don’t have room for it. You can arrange to ship it to where you live.
Definitely check it out while you’re going through town
Thanks, Eric !

Nice owner, great range of gear, and reasonable prices!
You have to look around a bit, but the owner is very helpful if you have questions. We got hiking gear and were happy with the prices, and we already used it all hiking the next day. Worked out great!
The only downside to the shop, I would say, is that the parking is a little tricky. But it's worth the visit if you're looking for affordable and good quality used outdoor gear! If we weren't on a trip with limited cargo space, I'd definitely have wanted to get a few more of the great deals we saw!

I came into Bishop and wanted to catch crawfish. Thank you to the owner Eric for recommending these crawfish traps at his shop! They did the job! Bunch of other outdoor items sold here! -guy in red Stanford shirt 😉

All the gear is mostly thrown in one large pile. However, I did find a very nice jacket but there was no price. The guy was on the phone the whole time, so we waited. We had to go so after like 10min when I tried to get his attention, he just showed me a finger to wait. We left cause that’s great customer service.

We drove 3 hours just to realize we left a pair of shoes at home!! Thankfully this amazing store was open, the owner is extremely sweet and I wish we had more time to shop around because they seem to have anything you need for hiking, running, extracurricular activities 😊

Got a GREAT deal on some newly resoled climbing shoes and other gear.
Requires some hunting to find what ya need but they have a ton of great stuff and really reasonably priced! The Owner, Mr. Diesel, is the man!

Freaking amazing guy! Best priced gear in bishop! Nice small town genuine shop. Responding to the other comments that are less than 5 stars, maybe don’t heckle with the dude if the price is already fair. It’s a business, I wouldn’t try to lower the price of apples at a Walmart….
