Today is Wednesday October 23 2024 and I just want to let everyone knows about how great are the employees at this location. After waiting for at least 4 hours without an appointment, I was able to walk in and be treated in the most professional way.
They opened the door just a little bit earlier than usual and I was out in less than 15 minutes!!!.
A big shout out to everyone who was there working this early morning FANTASTIC!!!

What a horrible place this is to come to. We booked an appointment over a month to take a test on a computer. We had an appointment for 2:30 PM yesterday and arrived at 2:15 PM to make the long line outside. We printed out the appointment letter and brought all of the necessary paperwork they demanded to be seen..... so we thought. One of the two incompetent ladies working there goes to my girlfriend when they were inside. "we can't let you take the computer test due to having two letters older than a month old," my girlfriend's reaction to her statement was "there's no instructions anywhere saying that you need to bring two letters that are not older than a month old" and this sorry ass lady goes go to her "it's a protocol here." What type of nonsense is that? Making us drive more than 40 minutes just to make up dumb "protocols" for themselves. She was also expecting me to drive back and get a newer letter, thinking we lived 5 minutes away from this place.... what a joke these people are.

Another girl inside started crying due to the same reason they gave my girlfriend. It's just unreal. They're just a bunch of careless people working there.

I wish I could give this DMV a negative rating. Go elsewhere please.

This DMV location has never disappointed me. First of all, the crowds or lines are not overwhelming and move quickly. As long as you follow the rules, make an appointment, and bring all your paperwork that you’re told to being in advance, everything runs so smoothly. The staff is decent and courteous compared to other locations I’ve been to. This place is organized and well managed in my opinion.

The people who work here are not your enemy. It is the lack of funding and all the bs the state of Florida provides for these services. Please be nice to the workers. They are just as exhausted and just as underpaid as you. We are all abused by this joke of a system in our own ways. The only way you will have a good time here is if YOU show up with the right attitude.
Everything else is up to our horrible governor and God.

The Staff is good here, but I am rating it a 2 because of the hassle with Walk-in.
They do walkins only from 8 am - 9 am.

Arrived at 4 am and there were already around 25 people, some had been there in the line from Midnight.
So if you show up at 6 am, the chances are you might not get anything and sent back. By 6 am the line will be very long.

Honest review. This office is very organized. The employees all work together as a team and they try their hardest to get walk-in accommodated while also attending to those who have scheduled appointments. I have been to this DMV twice. Once with an appointment scheduled (I was in and out within 30 minutes). Unfortunately, walk-in is not as quick. However, granted - they did accommodate me without an appointment and I was out of there after 3 hours (2 hours outside waiting in line & 1 hour inside). I arrived at 8am and left with my renewed license at 11am. My advise: If you do not have an appointment, arrive an hour before they open and wait outside. Also, make sure you have ALL your documents on hand. They will ask you to get out of the line if you are missing docs. Good luck!

Worst Experience Ever!

In July, I went to renew my driver's license. After my documents were reviewed and approved, I was informed that the license couldn't be printed immediately due to printer issues. I was issued a temporary permit valid until September 9.

By the end of August, I still hadn't received my license, so I went back to the DMV. They told me they couldn't print it because my temporary permit was still valid and instructed me to return after it expired.

Now that my permit has expired, I went back today, only to be told that they still couldn’t print my license because I didn’t have the right documents with me. This is absolutely unacceptable! I had to re-submit all my documents and schedule yet another appointment—thanks to their failure to mail my license on time.

To make matters worse, the DMV was almost empty—most booths were unoccupied—and yet my concerns were ignored. I’ve wasted three workdays on this issue and am left with constant anxiety about being pulled over by a cop and questioned about my temporary permit. I am not even sure if they will believe my story or accept this piece of paper.

It's a shame that I have to start this entire process over in September when I should have had my new license by July.

Their inefficiency and lack of accountability is very infuriating.
Additionally, a significant portion of the staff is extremely rude and dismissive. They seem to prioritize appointments above everything else and are unwilling to listen to any concerns or address unique situations. Seems like there is no human touch left in that office. Regardless of your background or occupation, you will be treated with a lack of respect and demeaning attitude. If you’re looking to experience humiliation, this location is the best place to visit.

unprofessional staff. Extremely rude, and lazy. I went there to help my girlfriend reinstate her license.
got there at 9am, and the security shouts at you from his chair “no more walk ins!” “Walk ins cut off time is at 9am” … okay so we come back two days later on a Friday at 8:30, as we walk up we see the same security guard shout “no more walk ins!” Again from his chair. So I tell him that’s not what he said two days ago, he said 9am is the cutoff time, and it’s 8:30.. they just open. I walk up to the line on the side of the building regardless.
(shortest line I’ve ever seen at an DMV ever).
Maybe like 15 people waiting. The security walked up to the line saying “the first person been here since 2am” that’s the same thing he said from last time (a clear lie). So I get to the back of the line refusing to leave, and I’m guessing the manager or person responsible to handle the line was shouting “no more walkings” in a rude manner. I challenge him asking how is that possible if they just opened 30 minutes ago? He said they have appointments to handle, well.. where are they? Parking lot is empty, and I don’t see another line. Also, you just opened.. you have all day to do your job. Honor your appointments, but still take care of the people that couldn’t get an appointment (appointments where no available until a month ahead btw) He just kept shouting to clear the line. To get out! Get out!

Point of this story is: what happened to integrity & respect? These people at this DMV don’t have any, they treat you like cattle. They clearly don’t wanna work at all. (I get how intense working at a dmv might get) but that’s still not an excuse to send people off because you can’t handle your job.
How are you not taking walking the first hour you open? You have a lazy security sitting in a chair like he’s on break just shouting at anyone walking up to the line.(no wonder the line stays so short) Two days in a row he’s saying the same bs that people been waiting since 2am, telling people no more walkings after 9am, so when we got there at 8:30 the next time he still send us away.. I guess they really don't want to work, and whoever hired that security guard better make sure he stays on his feet. Buddy is just collecting easy money from that poor chair.

I suggest if they pull this hoodwink on you, tell them you will file a complaint with the attorney general, and have everyone in the line that they kick out do the same. Resistance as a group might get them to change their lazy ways.
