We recently renovated our kitchen and laundry area and had a great experience ordering cabinets from Rich. He helped us configure which cabinets would work best in the spaces and was able to quickly deliver all the cabinets we needed before our installation date. Like all renovations there are constant changes/hiccups that can occur, and Rich was excellent working with us through every change. He even kindly allowed us to return cabinets that did not end up working with the final layout we chose. The cabinets are beautiful and customer service unbeatable. After two years of extensive use, I am happy to report that these kitchen cabinets have held up extremely well. The paint, wood exterior, and interior are all of top quality and have proven to be very durable. The surface of the cabinets is still smooth and sleek, with no signs of wear or chipping. The wood has also held up well, with no warping or cracking, even in areas that are exposed to moisture.

One of the things I love about these cabinets is the quality of the paint finish. The paint is thick and even, and has a glossy finish that adds a touch of elegance to the kitchen. Even after two years of regular use, the paint looks just as good as it did the day the cabinets were installed.

The wood exterior of the cabinets is also of top quality. The grain is beautiful and the color is rich and warm. The cabinets have a solid feel to them and are well-built, with no squeaking or creaking when opening and closing the doors and drawers.

I recently came across RTA Kitchen Cabinets & Counters (rtawholesalers.com) while looking for cabinets to remodel my laundry room. I was a little concerned over ordering cabinets online, but I found out that they have a store in Carson, CA where you can see the product in-person. The pre-sales service is wonderful, and Rich worked with us for over 1-1/2 hours discussing our various options, and what would work well for our particular space. He was extremely helpful not only in helping us to determine what parts needed to be ordered, but also with some of the finer details that we should consider during installation of the cabinets regarding prep of our flooring, addressing potential interference issues, considering third party accessories, etc. He sent us home with (free) door samples for three options we are considering. We are finalizing our plans and will be ordering our cabinets in a few days. Having a local store where you can see and feel the quality of the product , and to have access to expert advice is invaluable.

Update: RTA Wholesalers (RTA Kitchen Cabinets & Counters) offers a free design service for their products. I submitted the layout of my room, and in less than 24 hours Rich provided me with a detailed layout for my project including 3D views showing the cabinets I was interested in. We discussed the details of the plans over the phone, and after the completion of our call Rich populated my online cart with all of the items needed for me to complete my project. The service they provided is simply outstanding (and given that my project is relatively small - one pantry and two wall cabinets - I'm even more impressed).

Buyer beware. Cabinets themselves are par the course for rta's, but their free design service will lead you a stray. I haven't spoken with one designer that has a clue what they're selling.

Customer service is poor as well and they're shipping fees will eat your lunch money if you end up having to order more items.

Ikea has an in depth design service and can actually help with space planning and kitchen function.

RTA provides cheap cabinets but make sure your design is solid before the sales rep gets you on the hook.
