Sad To See The Kmart In Oakdale Go. Modesto Store Is Gone In January, Stockton Store Is Gone In March, & Now This Store. No Wonder Why This Has Been Affected. The Last Day Was On Sunday December 15. Now There Are No More Kmarts In San Joaquin & Stanislaus Counties. Farewell Kmart, Stockton, Modesto, & Oakdale Will Always Be In Our Hearts!

Just went. Wait til the end... seriously.... they jacked up all the prices to discount them. And still with the discount is more expensive than Walmart. Food saver is over 150 for the same one at other stores for less than 100. Dolls and legos were marked up even clearance items were scratched off and covered up and re priced. Only good thing but VERY LIMITED was their clothes. Added a star for customer service. Lady that helped us was super friendly and took the time to show us items. Now that it is 70-80% still high prices but worth the look.

Worst. waited 25 minutes while sold people ahead of us a membership. I had a cart full of clothing to buy. Left the store. My daughters were in tears in the car. Will not be shopping there again. Every lane six customersdeep. Had already waited 25 minutes. Would’ve easily been another 25. Ridiculous!!!

Usually always a line. Seems like they have a big selection but yet always seem to be out of what i am looking for. The cashiers, not all of them, seem grouchy and dont wanna be there. Prices usually ring up incorrect, check your reciept! Store is usually clean. The skinny male manager is outstanding!!

Worst customer service ever! Lord I thought Walmart was bad. I made a mistake on my online order, I accidentally put it in my husband's name. I went to pick up my order from the store and they refused to help me, they insisted that my husband be there to pick it up. I told them that I had the order number, the card it was paid for with, my ID which matched the billing address on the order, but none of it mattered.

This wouldn't have been such a big issue but my husband and I live in Bakersfield, I just happened to be in Modesto for the holidays and saw that the items I wanted to purchase were available for pickup in Oakdale, so I thought this would be easy.

Unfortunately I received zero help/sympathy from the extremely rude customer service attendant. When I asked her what am I to do now, she told me to just cancel the order and get a refund. So helpful.

This store USED TO BE something I looked forward to, it was tidy and it was the closest big box retailer to my home until Target came to Riverbank and the new Walmart opened. It seems as though, once the competition started getting intense, Kmart gave up and started to deteriorate. The store is sad to look at, its unkempt and messy, and the lights are dim and it’s aisles are super crowded, and the majority of their prices are unreasonable. The staff is perhaps the worst aspect of this place, I mean Walmart doesn’t have stellar customer service either, but at least I can get a little more help there than I can at Kmart. The cashiers seem disinterested and are SLOW, they don’t even have to punch in PLU’s like the cashiers at Walmart or Target, they just have to scan items, but that doesn’t expedite my shopping trip at all. I mean sure these cashiers are slow, but their supervisors are just as bad or worse, during my trip this girl with red hair (I believe her name was Jessica), was the most unhelpful and drab person I have ever seen, and the way she talks to her cashiers is cruel, she speaks to them in the most condescending tone ever, and it made me empathize them. The only pleasant exeperience I had was when I went to do a return, and was helped by a short lady (I didn’t quite catch her name), but she greeted me with a smile and was the only one that really seemed alive in there. She seems too good to be working for a retailer that clearly doesn’t care about customer service, I’LL BE GLAD when this store closes for good.

Horrible place I hope it closes down soon . Management is BS. Employees are trained to be rude and stupid . They are extremely slow and just going in there makes me sick. Kmart use to be a really good store but lately it’s just horrible. Never go there unless you plan to spend 2 hours because they have are so slow each transaction takes them like 15 mins just because they are that slow .

Unfortunately the negative comments about this place are true. Did an online order with store pickup. I called the store after UPS confirmed delivery and was told they didn't have it and that I had to call customer service. Customer service called and spoke to the manager verifying delivery and person who signed for it. Manager promised to call me back in the afternoon to let me know the status. Never got a call back. Called customer service again, who again tried calling the store. Was told they didn't have it and nothing ever got delivered. Poor customer service and obvious thieves.
