Curated selection of avant-garde designers and high quality vintage. Great spot for specific needs like outfit for a wedding/event or just general every day. Owner is an actual angel as are the other sweeties who work at the shop. A true delight! LA fave / must-visit!

Obsession. I am not nearly cool enough for the plethora of Issey, Comme and Gaultier (I aspire, at best) so usually just come for vintage - the silk blouses, the perfectly worn in shirts, the best dresses, the bluest denim, the sleekest silver jewels...cannot leave without something, and always it is the thing I will be living in for the months (years) to come. The owner has such a solid eye (see their Insta for proof), and happened to stop by recently for a Backroom Archive Sale Thingy that I personally would love for them to do, like, once a month? Maybe? Yeah? Please? Hands down one of the best curated shops in LA.

Sure they have great pieces, but the selection is small and the prices are too high. Also I felt a little pressure to buy something I liked. Didn’t really love that salesman vibe just let me do my thing

I love this place! I've gone in twice totally flustered needing to find the right pieces for events and the staff have gone out of their way to help me. So kind and incredibly knowledgeable. Each time I've left with looks I felt confident and beautiful in. Also, everything I've bought at Sleeper has been in excellent condition and smells great, added bonus! So many vintage spots in LA and this is my favorite by far.

You'd think with the basement unit they'd be saving money on rent but if they are they're not passing it on to the customer lol. Small selection but they've got some cool stuff. Wouldn't go back but not mad at myself for going.

Absolutely unwelcoming and unbothered staff or owner, who knows. The selection is the same you can find anywhere in the city. Maybe a bit more pricey, god knows why. Just the attitude there is at a peak of the worst absolute possible. Trying to see a good reason to even bother going there… i can’t. I would just not recommend. UPDATE AFTER MY REVIEW: the store went spying / stalking on my Instagram story after reading my review, instead of just being cordial and apologize for their despicable attitude. If you can use Instagram to stalk you can also use it to fix your employee or own attitude. Thanks for the visit tho. Absolutely..lovely!

Such a delightful hidden gem. They have a highly curated selection of interesting finds. The staff is super friendly + always helpful. Great local store to bring your friends from out of town to truly get the Silver Lake experience.
