Love going here for our produce, seafood, and other items plus they make a lot of their own items like guacamole (which is delicious) and we bought their corn cob smoked bacon which is the best I've ever had. They also have a deli, soup, bakery and ice cream sections to select from. Definitely check it out if you haven't already.

Obviously, it is a huge hit. Place was jammed with people. Overly busy, but the front end moved us through pretty quickly.

Great seafood and meat counter. Large variety of domestic and imported cheeses, and deli meats Large selection of conventional produce plus a large variety of private label repacks and bulk items. Pricing was good. The store was clean and well staffed.

I'd give it 5 stars, but parking is an issue (only because they are so busy). Navigating the aisles reminded me of navigating 3 lanes in 41 at 4 pm🤣 all good problems to have as a business.

Detwiler's is the greatest restaurant group I have ever found in the entire state of Florida. I live a thousand miles away in each and every time I get to go to Florida and get to go to Detwiler's is a great thing. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, the produce is amazing the fish fantastic The meat selection out of this world the ice cream I could go on and on and on I absolutely love this place

This place is absolutely fantastic. Worth the almost hour drive north to shop there. The fresh seafood selection and quality’s is always fantastic. The produce offers an amazing selection with local goods as well. Cheese and deli selection is the best. The bakery is fantastic and fresh. I love this store.

Generally very good bakery, meat, produce, and seafood goods.

Produce section is billed as a "farmers market" with plenty of "locally grown" and "farm fresh" signage. While I do suspect some produce is local, there is signage, and accompanying higher priced produce, which indicates country of origin as Peru, Mexico or "grown in California"
Would consider buying higher price for "locally grown" produce that helps my community farmers or reduces transportation costs and reduces carbon footprint; offering produce from another county, or hemisphere, is a deceptive practice.

It's good produce-- don't get me wrong! but don't believe your supporting local business, reducing a carbon footprint, or shopping at a pseudo-farmere market. This is a grocery store, not a farmers market.

The freshest fruits and veggies. We only came in for the homemade icecream and ended up buying all the local “in season” produce too!

Our favorite place to get fresh vegetables and fruit. From the many varieties of oranges I always got the sweetest ones. Also love the fresh radishes, the Hungarian peppers. My husband goes there for stew meat, saying it is the best he can get. He also loves the cocktail shrimps. While the store is always full the service is great and the checkout is fast.

This is a FANTASTIC place to get all your fresh produce, bread, acai bowl, ice cream etc. Since I'm a vegetarian, I cannot speak to the meat or sea food selection, but I visit this place at least every 10 days to get all my produce, raw milk, fruits, vegetables etc. And I'm so happy that there is a Venice location since it saves me from driving to other locations in Sarasota.

As others mentioned, parking can get hairy depending on the time of the day and since most of it is senior population in Venice, people have also complained about their cars getting bumped due to parking mishaps. Hence, the four stars for this place instead of five.

They have great selection and value on ice creams and the acai bowl and smoothies are always a perennial favorite with my family members. Again, depending on the time of the day, there could be a bit of line and wait involved in ordering and getting these items after you check out.

Overall, you cannot go wrong shopping here for the fresh produce, vegetables and fruits since the selection and freshness is much superior compared to supermarket selections. Also, I really hope they start using the expanded space they acquired to increase their selections even more.
