Really cute stuff in here but honestly in the three times that I’ve been in, all three times I was greeted by subpar service. As a downtown employee myself, I feel ashamed that tourists have to deal with this too. The employees here have been really rude and act inconvenienced by our presence. I would 100% shop here more if it wasn’t for that.

The shop has lots of neat items, but the gentleman and lady working there this evening helped me decide not to make a purchase. The interaction with another customer in the store was terribly unprofessional and rude. You should be ashamed of yourselves for talking down and belittling that poor woman who was shopping there. This customer was taking pictures of neat items and was reprimanded, in an extremely rude way in front of myself and other customers.
When she tried to apologize the lady working there ignored her and walked away. I have never seen such a heinous display in customer service.

We heard the conversation at the front of the store and the customer explained that she is out of town and wanted craft ideas to do with her young grandchildren who are in town as well. The gentleman doubled down and was being extremely rude as well. They did not listen nor did they try to remedy the situation.

The point was made that no photos is posted, but I didn't see the signage, other than the "no touching" signs all over the place.

A suggestion for the owner(s), for what it's worth:
1) print signage regarding the ban on photography, and post it at the entrance. I double checked on my exit and did not see any.

2) find new employees or train these ones on customer service. If this occurred at one of my establishments, they would be talked to and potentially gone as soon as possible.

If it were my location, I would hope someone would share with me.

We vacation in St Augustine yearly, and I have clued lots of my friends onto this area. I will not be returning to this shop, and I will be advising anyone I speak to to avoid the store as well. Appalling.

The employees here are rude and extremely unprofessional. Skip this stop on your next visit to St A. Luckily, there are many other options of places in the area to find cool souvenirs in the area, with much better customer service practices. More than 1 employee participated in conversations with a customer and then about the customer after they exited, all while we were checking out and others were shopping within earshot. It was completely uncalled for and unacceptable.

Very bad customer service by old white lady at the counter! I bought two items and two tiny tiles she argued price was $2.49 and they were marked $1.99. My husband trying to be nice said I’ll get the price in the other one that was way in the back. She replied nasty with I’ll go check. The young woman at counter said it’s marked $1.99. And I said I know! My husband said I Dont want them! I said this is the 2nd time I buy from here and brought people to buy here! I said I won’t be back! Buyers beware!

I bought wind chimes yesterday, and 2 employees wrapped tape around the plastic bag so that one of the strings was cut upon opening. Drove 1.5 hours this morning, to arrive 5 minutes after opening for the crusty old woman at the register to deny entry, as she didn't wake up early enough to open on time. Made us wait in the cold wind for 15 minutes, while she "prepared the register." Horrible customer service!

Back in October we bought a chiminea from the Around the World Marketplace location. Unfortunately someone stole it. We loved it so much we knew we needed another from the Sunburst Trading Co. / Shell Shop! We showed the owner and Joan (she was amazing and sold us the first one) a photo of the one that was stolen, he went to the shop and found one identical to it and brought it back to us so fast! We are so excited!! We bought our neighbor one as a gift because we love our so much. Every single person was amazing and so kind!
