I love Publix and I love this one in alachua. People are always friendly and I tell you they've got such a great produce department. Everything's clean great things to choose from good layout easy and easy out
Parking lot can be a little tight but this is my go to store when I'm in Florida

My favorite grocery store, hands down. Always the freshest produce, seafood, deli foods, meats, bread, baked goods and desserts. Always well stocked with a wide variety to choose from, as well as their brand. The Publix generic brand is to quality goods: as good or better than name brands. Their logo's are a great value and help cut costs.

I hear folks say: "it's expensive", however you get what you pay for every time. When you weigh the cost of buying quality, local and fresh you get a better value. Much better than you'll ever get at Walmart with the cheapest, lowest quality, Chinese junk.

Not to forget the people, always professional and willing to help. Clean stores, restrooms, isles, shelves and floors. The cleanest grocery store in town with kind, friendly people there to serve you.

Two friends and I have had very negative customer service experience at this location. Management is disrespectful unconcerned with staff and disrespectful. Today I found that the assistant manager, Brandon, had left large amounts of defrosted food in a broken section of the frozen department. The front-end manager, Gabby, also failed to remove the merchandise and was dismissive of the problem (also rude). I reported this to the Publix headquarters and the Florida food safety department. When I left, they still had not removed the defrosted merchandise.

UPDATE: My son said that he'd attempted to purchase the same frozen food item days before and that the refrigeration was down, and the cashier knew and commented on it as he tried to buy the defrosted item.

UPDATE 2: The District Manager called and said that the manager said that the box was soggy, which was a lie. The entire product was soft like a sponge, and very dangerous to consume. The store manager also claimed that they'd removed the items, but that was also a lie. I have pictures documenting that the defrosted product remained in the cooler. The store manager also said that I had called the cashier a rude name. This was also a lie; I had only asked the cashier for the manager. We barely spoke.

In summary, the store manager is indifferent to the safety of their food and was willing to lie to the district manager in order to undermine a very serious health and safety condition they'd failed to address.

I've added a picture of the Jimmy Dean Biscuits which are clearly on the shelf almost 30 minutes after I'd raised the concern. Those items were soft as a sponge and dangerous to consume.

I would have given it a five-star if it wasn't for the cashier Morgan, never had an issue with anybody before especially attitude wise. She looked at me with an attitude, did not say hello back and then through the yellow separator stick back before she told me my total. I asked her why she was being so rude she looked at me and rolled her eyes. Not a good look for the company, all the other staff if polite.

This is a GREAT Publix! Came in off the highway later in the day and the store was very clean, well stocked and had an extremely helpful staff! I also had some of the freshest, juiciest chicken tenders of my life here! They were to DIE for!!! If you’re in the area and need food, this is the place to get it 😊👍

Good subs but literally ordered 1.5hrs ahead and they were still making them when we got there…. Makes you want to just go somewhere else next time.
Then they were done after 2 hrs and one was missing…

I LOVE ❤️ Alachua Publix! This store is clean, friendly associates that will gladly assist you at ant time. They will even take you to the isle that your product is located. It usually is a bit cold in there, but I am always prepared with a light jacket! 5 stars for sure!! My only new complaint is, they don't have a good supply of my favorite beer, Michelob Ultra. Lately, the supply has been extremely low. I hope this improves soon!

The wait time in your sandwich line is unbelievable. Get one or two workers to make online sandwich orders in the back and 2 workers to make in person sandwich orders up front in the deli. There is zero hustle or care in the deli.
