I love this place; they house a lot of my favorite brands and I have found so many niche brands shopping with the staff and browsing on my own. Most of my home, housewares have been furnished from here and inspired. Gifts for friends, family and babies to fragrance and furniture and whatever fills in between.

It was also nice to chat with the designer/ owner(the lady)on a visit during the expansion last year. I especially appreciate Katy she has always been warm and kind consistently… so as long as she is here I will look for her.

I really loved this store until today when I went trying to just have a look and buy myself something cute after a long day. The owner was taking pictures of me and my friend pretending he was taking pictures of the set up and then seconds later walked up asking us about our jobs. He then asked if we needed a basket because “you might have had a lot to carry and put things in your pocket” and walked us to the register. Getting racially profiled in Houston is crazy work. Sadly I was not white enough to avoid this interaction.

I love this store! It’s an upscale destination with a superb selection of gift and house items.

- Exclusive Brands: The only store in Houston that carries DS&Durga fragrances, and they also stock Vilhelm Parfumerie.

- Spacious Layout: The store is fairly large, providing a comfortable shopping experience.

- Unique Selection: Offers a distinctive range of products that you won’t find elsewhere.

- Gift Services: They provide gift wrap services, making it an excellent place to pick up gifts.

- Parking: storefront free parking

However, my only complaint is that you can find better deals by purchasing directly from the brands, as the store does not accept any discount codes for some of the lines they carry.

Drove 90 miles today to exchange a shirt that I received for Christmas. Manager stated that I was 4 days past the point of return. No exceptions made even though this was my first opportunity to drive to Houston after being on surgery call for the last two weeks. I understand return policies. I also appreciate some consideration and flexibility. Was not looking for a refund. I was going to spend more than shirt was worth. Based on principle alone, would never return here again.

The place is like having a mini department store in your neighborhood! Beautiful items, good customer service, and a place to find cool gifts for everyone on your list. I appreciate their gift wrapping. They also do wedding registries! Different items at different price points.

Swung by K+L on Sunday for the first time just to check it out. I had no idea they had a cosmetics section, but was surprised to find that they carried all the brands I order online. When Becca, an MUA there, asked if there was anything she could help me with, I figured I'd see if she could help with a problem I've been battling for over 20 years.

My facial skin is slightly darker than the rest of my body. For most people, it's the exact opposite, so it's a tricky thing to find a foundation that works. I modeled when I was a young kid and worked with some very talented make up artists. After, I worked at a modeling agency around some of the best MUAs out there. And in all that time, I've never found anyone who could color match me.

Becca did. And not only did she do it in under ten minutes, she also used a product that was mostly natural (important to me) and cost effective (though I'd have paid whatever she told me to). She explained what to look for in a brand to ensure I get good results going forward. And she didn't try to sell me a bunch of additional garbage I didn't need.

The next day I went back because I somehow managed to pick up the wrong shade. A gentleman (I believe Craig) offered to color match me again just to be sure I wasn't mistaken. And again, he matched me to the same color. He explained some of the trickiness with my skin tone and how to balance the color when I got a little darker (just mix).

This is all to say, I have never met more talented MUAs than I did at K+L. And I've met some insanely talented people. I'm swearing off Sephora and Blue Mercury and all the other junk. I will only trust Bella and Craig going forward.

Horrible customer service. Received a Christmas gift that I attempted to exchange for the correct size. Was out of town until the 10th of Jan. They said return policy only good until Jan 7 for Christmas returns/exchanges. Would not make an exception. Such poor service. Don’t shop here.

Well, I was going to visit this store for the first time on recommendation from a patient of mine. I WILL NOT be coming here after reading the horrendous reviews.
