I had a very bad experience today at On Course Consignment. I consigned my brand new air vest in January and I called yesterday and they said that it had not sold yet. I said that I wanted to come and pick it up which they said was fine. I had a friend that wanted to buy it for $575. I called again today to tell them that I was on my way. When I arrived and went to the desk, she handed me a bag and had me sign a piece of paper that I was taking it back. Luckily, I looked in the bag and took out the vest and said to her this is not the vest that I brought in. Mine was brand new, and I had only used it twice, and I had my name in it in permanent marker. She looked through the other vests and tried to tell me that maybe the tag had come off and that maybe my name wasn’t in there anymore, and I reiterated that it was permanent marker. Then she went to the computer and told me that oh sorry it actually sold even though they looked it up yesterday when I called and said that it hadn’t sold. I was extremely upset because I was losing out on a lot of money. I asked if they could call the person that bought it to tell them it was their mistake and they said no because the person bought it with Apple Pay and they wouldn’t have a record of it, which I can’t imagine so. I wound up with a check for $270 for a brand new $775 vest in which my friend had already paid me $575 for. I’m glad I looked in the bag as this seemed very weird that they were sending me home with a vest that was so dirty and old. I’m extremely disappointed in the service and for my experience. Plus, I drove an hour and a half for nothing. Honestly, the way they should’ve handled it as it was their mistake was to not take any commission and just give me the price that they sold it for which was $450. They already got their normal commission for selling my hard hat.

I called to ask if they had any breeches in my son’s size and I spoke with Teresa. She was very professional, kind, and patient as I also asked about riding boots and tops. Great customer service.

Would your young equestrian love a pair of fancy (e.g. Cavalleria Toscana, Equiline, Samshield, etc) breeches, but you’re not so eager to invest $400+ in something they will outgrow within a year? Or maybe you’re looking for some fancy tack and you don’t mind if it’s been gently used. While visiting WEF for three weeks in February, I bought 4 pairs of nearly new fancy breeches for an average of $250 each. There’s a 5 day return window, although I found the light stains (boot marks) disappeared with Carbona Laundry Stain Scrubber (from Publix) and some “elbow grease”. Now they look brand new and I saved about $1000. Seems that WEF keeps the inventory changing frequently so be sure to swing by at least once a week during the busy season.

I love the concept of this place, and truly wish I loved it itself, but pricing is absurd and staff consists primarily of lazy young girls. I was sent away while trying to sell items, because there was one tiny spider in my bag of girths. Anyone who works in this industry knows that bugs exist, so this was just odd. I even got rid of the spider but the girl was too scared to continue sorting. I came back later and another employee took all items. Another time, a pair of boots was turned away because the “heel was beginning to separate”. It was truly not visible (unlike another pair already for sale). Then when in the boot room, there are pairs in terrible shape, still listed up to $1k! Organization in there is also terrible; you have to search for your size because they’re so disorganized. Plenty of employees are sitting around with time to sort. If you’re looking for more affordable consignment items in better shape, definitely look on Poshmark!

I'm very grateful for this place. Without this place I doubt I could afford everything my daughter needs to ride. This place has allowed me as a father to fulfill one of my daughters dream. While I understand that most of the sales are handled in person, I would have hoped for better customer service even through messaging.

The items were great, and reasonably priced. However I felt that I was treated rudely through the interaction, and many of my questions were not answered the first time I asked.

One of my favorite things about moving to Florida is oncourse consignment! I’ve have great experiences especially with Teresa! She was extremely helpful, and professional with finding me different items and great deals! I will absolutely continue to go back!
