I had a ball on the Sunrise going to the Bahamas for my Mother’s birthday! Everyone I encountered on the staff were so friendly and the man who cleaned our cabin was incredible! The photographer that took our pictures was insanely good. If you purchase a drink package just know that water is not included. It was lots of activities to do for people of all ages. Guido the Personal Vacation Planner can’t get any better and was very helpful. Looking forward to the next go round 🛳️

I have nothing but Praise for the service I received from Jarrett a Carnival Cruise Planner. You are a credit to Carnival. You are so sweet and nothing is too much for you to do. Having had our Luminosa cruise cancelled by Carnival because of Cyclone Alfred, my family group of x5 are trying to re-book another x2 cabins for a similar cruise. Jarrett has been so accomodating with this for me, from checking on all available cruises and being transparent with ‘costs’ and placement of cabins. I could not have done this without his help. We have finally found a Cruise to suit all our requirements and have proceeded to work with Jarrett to lock this in.
Carnival, I hope that you realise how fortunate you are to have Personal Planners like Jarrett. Not only have I stayed with Carnival for another Cruise but I specifically chose Jarrett to be our Planner. Well done and Thank you J.
A footnote on this review……I was originally with another Travel Agent but needed to contact Carnival direct and had spoken to Jarrett. Even-though he knew I was with a competitor, his ‘service’ and ‘professionalism’ never wavered… When the original Cruise was cancelled, it was a ‘no brainer’ for me to book direct with Carnival and have Jarrett onboard. I’ll definitely spread the good word.

The only cruise line we've ever cruised on and my husband and I got married on Vista in 2017. On our recent NYE cruise on Magic we stay at hotel nearby. My daily walks included walking by Carnival headquarters, so I just had to take a few pics!

A nightmare with the loudspeaker and getting thrown off the ship and being overcharged. Felt like I was on active duty being harassed at 7 AM with captain on loudspeaker. The comedy shows is nice late at night, but the rude awakening daily at 7 AM should be stopped. You announce to everybody we are not able to get off the boat only offer a $18 credit and still wake everybody up an hour early to tell us we’re not getting off of the boat.
“Getting charged for pool towels” I never took pool towels is ridiculous. I hope you guys get your clerical situations under control. Overcharged at the gift shop as well. Recommend Using a major credit card and never shop at their gift shop they will double charge. There is no customer service number either (after cruise). You have to send an inquiry and they won’t really do anything. Spend more money go on a real cruise ship that’s my advice!

My son was hurt on board a ship last week and carnival employees admitted negligence and fault, and yet somehow the corporate office have blamed our son. They have failed to contact us post cruise and tried to change the incident report. They altered the work site on board AFTER my son’s incident by adding blue painters tape, as if that now creates a safe barrier for children on a pool deck... During our cruise we never lost our own patience in effort to avoid conflict infront of our son and now that we are home we will be sure to let everyone know how poorly they handled this situation. The only ones to thank are the medical staff and doctors who helped him and somehow even that turned into an issue with guest services. I can confidently say carnival cares about their own safety over their guests, including 3 year old children. They should be ashamed of themselves.

We sailed on Venezia out of NYC on June 10 to the Caribbean. Pros: Embarkation and Debarkation went well, staff was friendly, room clean. The premium vista balcony offered us a panoramic views of Aft and Starboard and was private as no balcony above us. Seafood shack food was excellent. Terrazza area was nice, luckily our room was one of the Terrazza Premium rooms, so we had an area on the ship designated for these rooms, gave us respite from the incredibly busy decks and 2 hots tubs that were exclusively for wristbanded guests.

Cons: Temperature in public areas and cabin hall ways inside were awfully warm; so warm that the floors in front of elevators and shops had condensation on them. They were very slippery and we even saw a few folks fall. Buffett food was hit or miss, soupy scrambled eggs, cold meats, and long lines. Lines for everything, elevators, food, entertainment, etc. Entertainment was mostly trivia games and live music. The musicians were good, but overshadowed as volume was incredibly loud, uncomfortably loud. Comedians, one was ok, the other terrible, no one laughed the first 10 mins into a 20 min show, I felt so bad for him! Shows in the theatre again were just live musicians with some choreographed dancing, no plays, magicians or things you may get on other ships. Pool decks are small, way to small for the size of the ship, hot tubs also, not enough for the number of people on board. On Day 3 a large fight broke out at the dodge ball event, resulting in 30+ adults fighting. Punching, kicking, many young kids were in attendance. It was a disgrace and ruined our trip. One poor gal was knocked down (maybe late teens/no more than 20) and grown men and women were punching and kicking her. It was an absolute melee. Another young lady tried to help her and was socked in the face, I saw her the next day and she had a black eye and jaw. When I asked what the outcome was, she stated the cruise line assured her when they got back to New York charges would be filed. Upon disembarkation, they were told NYPD did not have jurisdiction, so no charges/accountability would be forthcoming. Very sad, we did not attend any sponsored events after Day 3. We will not sail the Venezia again.

This cruise experience on the Glory was profoundly disappointing. I paid full price for a relaxing vacation but endured a week of frustration, incompetence, and subpar service that left me regretting every cent. Others on board got the cruise free, drinks free, and casino credit. I payed full price while I navigated a nightmare at every turn. Not even a casino credit when I asked. A strict NO!

Dining was a chaotic endurance test. The app meant to streamline check-ins was non-functional, leading to excessive wait times. Service was excruciatingly slow, with servers often ignoring us. Meals took up to 2 hours, and the food quality was appalling. Salads arrived warm, meals were served at room temperature, and most dishes lacked seasoning. The buffet was repetitive and overcrowded.

The "Guys Burger" incident was horrifying. A staff member removed a tomato from a pre-made burger and discarded it when a guest requested it without. This reckless practice is unacceptable and potentially dangerous, especially for guests with allergies.

The app, a critical tool for navigating the cruise, was a failure. Events were scheduled incorrectly, causing me to miss excursions. For a ship recently out of dry dock, this level of disorganization was unacceptable.

Entertainment was lackluster, repetitive, and offensive. Comedy acts included jokes about violence and racism. In 2024, such humor is unacceptable. The "wiener girl" comedian ended her final show by telling the audience to "go to hell."

Few individuals like Vladimir and Alex at the Alchemy Bar were exceptional, the majority of staff were inattentive and unprofessional. Bartenders were slow, preoccupied with their phones, and made little effort to acknowledge guests. Even witnessed staff members leaving restrooms without washing hands, a completely unacceptable practice in a shared environment.

I reported issues to Guest Services throughout the cruise, but my complaints were met with silence. Reaching Guest Services by phone was an exercise in futility, with long hold times and no one ever answering.

The ship itself was in shockingly poor condition. Lights were out, access panels were flapping open, hand dryers and elevators were broken, and restrooms required toilet paper to open heavy doors.

Disembarkation was the final nail in the coffin. The rental car shuttle situation was chaotic, with long wait times and near-fights as passengers rushed to secure spots.

The only positives were the adorable towel animals, my room steward, Diana-Fun Squad, and Art Studio staff.

This cruise was an exercise in frustration, not a vacation. I paid full price for an experience that was chaotic, disorganized, and devoid of the quality I expected. The lack of apologies or efforts to rectify the situation only added insult to injury. Until Carnival addresses its glaring issues and makes significant improvements, I will be taking my business elsewhere. At the end of the trip I got an email to review my cruise. I reviewed and no one got back to me. Here it is now in a shorter version.
