I can't say enough about the respect and timely attentiveness that we received from Bruce at Pete Moore Imports. At first we were just exploring options but Bruce made things so easy and put us in a new vehicle that day. Pete Moore Imports has terrible communication and poor customer service skills. I dropped my car off around the lunch hour. Was told that it would be a couple hours before it would be seen. No communication until I call around 4pm. Was told my engine was shot and was advised they told the previous owners that it would need a new engine. This is the only thing that keeps them from getting a zero. I had bought the VW less than 90 days ago. The service said that they were working up a quote for me without telling me how long the quote would take to complete. The service dept closed with no update on my car. If it weren’t for the sales team spotting the service Manager Monty and putting him on the phone that I got any more information. It would be less than a 5 minute call to tell me that you are still working on the estimate and to check back tomorrow. I went into the service center the following day around noon with no further contact only for no one to know where my estimate was luckily the parts department came in with the quote. I will never take my car back to Pete Moore for anything or will I buy anything from such a unprofessional company.

Run buyer Run!

We have spent months trying to deal with this company. They accessed our PII and falsified paperwork without our knowledge or consent. They also intentionally did so. Yup that’s ID theft and fraud.

We were dealing with this all though the holidays in 2024, its now spring of 2025 and we are still dealing with this. We paid insurance on a car we didn’t even keep nor were we driving. We have burned through leave and spent nights and weekends dealing with this. We are now down a car thanks to this dealership. We had to file a BBB complaint, a complaint with the state, and the FTC. Next step is an attorney. The company advised in Jan that VW would remove all the hard hits to our credit so we could go get a car elsewhere. They advised it could take 30-60 days to show. Its well past that and now they won’t even respond when I try to contact them. Save the headache, look at Volvo, Benz, BMW or whatever you like, just run from Audi and VW especially at this dumpster fire of a dealership.

Can't say enough good things about my experience with Larry and this dealership. They will take good care of you, no games. Friendly and laid back, no pressure. I was able to get all the details over email and they didn't take more than 30 minutes to get me through financing after we agreed on everything in person. I wanted to give a review and my recent experience (October 2024) with Pete Moore Volkswagen here in Pensacola

I had a mechanic friend look at my daughter's 2007 VW Beetle because the engine light and thermostat light came on. He found a leak in the coolant system. He suggested taking it to the dealership for service since VWs require special tools that he didn't have.

Called and made an appointment. Dropped it off and a week later they called me saying that the coolant system was leaking as well as the oil system and the cost for parts and labor was going to be $4600. I told them to make the repairs. After 2 weeks I called to get a status. They told me that it was done but that they needed to take it for a test drive. After calling 3 days in a row and getting the same response, they finally said to come pick it up.

Picked it up and started driving home. The engine light came on after about a mile down the road. I filled the gas tank up and then the gas gauge went to empty.

Called them back and told them what happened. They said to bring it back in. They told me that the fuel sensor would need to be replaced and they would change the filter and put an additive in the gas tank. I asked if it was crucial to replace the fuel sensor. They said if I kept track of the miles on a tank of gas that would be a work around. So I declined to have the sensor replaced. And they charged me $300 for the filter change and gas additive!

Drove it home again and the engine light and temperature light came on again.

Had my mechanic friend look at it again. The first thing he noticed was that the coolant reservoir was near empty. He said they either didn't top it off with coolant or they didn't repair the leak in the coolant system like they said they did. He looked at my itemized bill and said they overcharged on all the parts.

Took it back to them. They looked at it and said it needed a new radiator. Which would require them to pull out most of the engine.

I was like didn't I just pay $4k for you to repair the coolant system leak and isn't the radiator part of the coolant system?!? They wouldn't give me an answer and told me it was going to be another $2k to repair.

I declined to have it repaired.

So they didn't repair the coolant system and they over charged me for parts.

Very dissatisfied.

Beware of service. Brought the Golf GTI in for a couple error codes. Service center said the battery tested bad and quoted for a new one ($480). I declined since I can do that work myself. Before swapping the battery I had it tested by an independent shop and it showed the battery was in great condition and only a year old. I won’t be trusting them with work if they can’t even honestly test a battery.

Service also claimed they found low voltage codes and that was another reason to quote the battery. I checked the codes myself and it was for the Key Fob Battery…

Very good service, nice people. They did the repair quickly.
