I had a great first experience.
I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and after getting the food I sat outside with the food which is where I met Don. Don offered for me to sit as his table at which I originally refused but after sitting we had an amazing conversation and I will 10/10 come back not just for the food but for conversations like this

Owner was working, very nice but still professional and the employees are pleasant. Cashier, Aishah, made sure i got my order right and double checked to make sure she got it right (she also spelt my name right).

I used to really enjoy the bagels and service here. Unfortunately, time and time again issues arise. I ordered two egg and cheese bagels. One was supposed to be an Asiago bagel with provolone - received a salt bagel with American cheese. The other was supposed to be a sesame with cream cheese and egg - I received an everything with corn beef and American cheese. If you’re making these kinds of mistakes, doesn’t bode well for the brand and whomever hired management and employees.

It has nice outdoor seating in the shade but lately my food has not been prepared as it used to. I get a jersey boy and the bagel isn't even toasted, cheese isn't melted and overall, it's not the quality it once was. I am disappointed that this location is going downhill.

Came here today for the first time in a couple years. Was greeted by the most friendly employee and also got to meet the new owner. Was pleased to see the restaurant was much cleaner and all food/drink was in stock compared to my last visit when it was under different ownership. Keep up the good work! I will be back often!

My first time here. The restaurant was clean and the staff who took my order was personable and polite.

I took a star off the review for two reasons. The first is that when ordering another team member started running a wet dry shop next to the cash register and it very difficult to place the order and confirm it was correct. The second reason for the lack of a star was the manager slid the bag containing my order across the counter at me and walked away. It’s not that he was rude, it’s just that he wasn’t friendly.

The bagels were good. The amount of cream cheese was impressive and I’ll be sure to return. I would encourage everyone to get bagels here but I think the customer service skills could improve.

It’s been a year and I’ve returned to the area and returned to Brooklyn Water Bagel.

This time the staff were much more friendly and nice. The staff were friendly “enough” but it makes me wonder what the culture is like there that people ant be happy.

Anyway,This time I had a salt bagel and it was good. I wish it was super encrusted with salt. I’d pay more if it was. The bagel was good and chewy.

I was intrigued that they had egg creams. Disappointed that I had to make it myself but ok I’m game. The problem was that the spoon they give you is dramatically too short so your fingers are in the drink while stirring and that’s no fun. The drink was just mid but the next time I’ll make it better.

I LOVE a good bagel. It’s a comfort food for me. This place does not disappoint! Authentic NY style bagels, served exactly how I love them. The COFFEE is also exceptionally good. I would not say that Brooklyn Water Bagel has kept pace with the creativity of the better mom and pop bagel shops of the city, however. Bagel and smear flavors were a bit pedestrian, but very well executed. They do it right! Pastrami and egg sandwich was great, as was my favorite everything bagel sandwich. Go. Well worth it. Don’t expect to try something new, but do expect it to be executed perfectly.
