It’s hard to find a place where I’m comfortable taking my truck in for service , unlike many shops this guys here are honest and go above and beyond to help you figure out what’s wrong with your truck and take care of it accordingly. This is my 4th or 5th time here. Satisfaction keeps bringing me back! They always let me know what’s going on with my truck… some shops won’t tell you when they see other problems, that you didn’t notice or over looked, that’s going on with your truck. They are thorough in their inspections. I also appreciate the fact that they don’t have you waiting a week before you can get any information about your truck from them, most of the time they let me know same day.
And if there’s any misunderstandings… they will take their time to make sure you’re fully informed.

In September 2021, we took our tractor to Vanguard to get scheduled maintenance. Our first service writer was Justin. We made our requests and Justin issued an estimate with reasonable pricing. Once the technician inspected our tractor and we requested additional quotes on additional services, Darren Thomas was assigned as the service writer. Darren sent me multiple estimates with higher prices for the same services that were on the FIRST quote. I became extremely suspicious and requested from Darren to give me access to the ASSIST system (Volvo’s computer system), so I could review warranty work and the multiple estimates. As the total price increased from approximately $6,000 to $15,000, I deferred most of the services to obtain a SECOND OPINION.

After Vanguard completed some of service on our tractor, I took my tractor to BIG MOE’s ALIGNMENT. Per DARREN’s estimate at VANGUARD it stated that the left leaf spring was cracked and needed to be replaced for $4,000.00. During the inspection, it was discovered that the left steer axle wheel was cracked rather than the leaf springs. I saved over $3,800.00 by getting a second opinion.
Therefore, I WILL NOT return to any of the VANGUARD LOCATIONS in fear of being deceived and being charged for unneeded services. Darren and the technician were well aware that there weren’t any damages to our tractor’s left leaf spring, yet they were DISHONEST IN THEIR BUSINESS DEALINGS.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND VANGUARD FOR ANY BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS.

I'm a heavy truck mechanic. I never have had any problems ordering any parts from this place. The staff is extremely helpful in any way they can be you make sure you receive the correct part needed. Staff is very friendly. Recommend this place to many drivers who need bigger repairs.

Got a simple repair done here Aug 2022. Staff was friendly and had a lot of parts in stock. High hourly rate, but you get what you pay for. Wpuld recommend if in north Ga area and need some assistance.

Extremely nice staff, I was here because of a breakdown and this was one of the two Volvo dealerships in the state but the reviews for the other one were not so great. This is a bit on the smaller side so down side is that it is not 24/7 but it also helps with less wait time...they were able to do a quick look at my truck the same day to make sure it was not a little issue...but they ordered the parts and got me back on the road in a few days...I would highly recommend this dealership...the service department is exceptional...and if you do have to stay overnight they drive you to the local Ramada that is maybe 4 to 5 blocks down the road and you get a driver's discount there as well. So I would highly recommend both the dealership and the Ramada that is not to far from here.
