Makebs Downtown in West Palm Beach is a hidden gem that deserves more attention. From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt welcomed by the genuinely warm and hospitable staff. Their friendliness immediately set a positive tone for my visit, and their enthusiasm for the menu made it easier to choose what to order.

I decided to sample three of their popular offerings: the egg, bacon, and cheese on a buttery croissant, the classic corned beef sandwich, and the hearty Italian sub. Each dish brought its own unique flavors and was served with a level of care that’s hard to miss. The croissant breakfast sandwich was incredibly satisfying—flaky on the outside, while the bacon added a smoky crunch. The corned beef sandwich was a nostalgic favorite, generously stuffed with tender meat and complemented by tangy pickles. As for the Italian sub, it had just the right balance of savory meats, crisp vegetables, and zesty dressing.

Makeb’s is hands down one of my favorite spots! The food is consistently delicious, and I always leave happy. Their **egg sandwiches** are top-tier, and I’m obsessed with their **tuna fish**—I always get a custom sandwich with **cucumbers and avocado on a bagel**, and it hits the spot every time. Their **bagels, cookies, and muffins** are all amazing, super fresh, and full of flavor. The **lattes** are also great, the perfect complement to any meal.

Beyond the food, the service is what makes Makeb’s truly special. **Samantha and Akiba** at the front are the absolute best—always bringing the best energy and making every visit a great experience. They’re friendly, efficient, and just so good at what they do. Love seeing them every time I stop by!

Great food. Terrible customer service. The Chico cooking all the food has the whole team on his back. The women taking the orders up front can try to be more kind and welcoming.

No one speaks English and we had a problem no one could help with which was: is this right, the tiny sauce-sized potato salad is $3.25 and the sandwich is $10? Wow this is a rip off. Also hire at least one person who knows English. Sub-par experience.

Amazing bagels. Abysmal customer service. So many times I’ve interacted with the same angry woman behind the register. Today I ordered a bagel. “Please just slice it, it doesn’t need to be toasted or anything.” A few moments later, she hostility dangles the bag towards me, no words spoken. Of course the bagel isn’t sliced. Won’t be coming back simply because of the consistently nasty customer service.

Had the pleasure of eating here twice this weekend and I can say the place never disappoints! The Big boy bagel sandwich as well as the egg salad have to be some of my favorites.. if you’re looking for a place to get the best most freshest bagels in town, look no further than here. 100/10.

This establishment is excellent. The staff are doing a fantastic job, providing outstanding service. I tried three different bagels, and each one was exceptional. The other reviews here almost discouraged us, but after reading them, we noticed that many commenters unfairly criticize the staff, who are working diligently in a busy restaurant with a small kitchen.
