I am a fan of chargrilled oysters and they only serve raw. The server explained how all prepared raw oyster dishes are not served equally. I decided to give it a try. I absolutely loved them. My girls and I had shrimp & grits and fried rice. Absolutely loved! Note: The Shrimp and Grits portion is a small portion size.

Hendershot's is probably one of the best places in Athens. The staff is always amazing, the owner is one of the kindest people I've met. He has truly made his establishment a safe place for all walks of life. From drag shows to "unplugged no phones" parties, Comedy and open mic nights, music galore... you can come for the entertainment or even just grab a coffee and play some board games. This place is all about community and togetherness. When you patron Hendershot's you aren't just supporting small business, but our community as a whole.

Delicious iced latte! The alternative milks were not an up-charge which I really appreciated.
There was plenty of seating indoors and out when I went on a Saturday 11-1. Great atmosphere as well!

Hendershot's is a great unique place and experience to drop in for delicious coffee and a fabulous selection of beverages. The atmosphere and entertainment is beyond expectations. The staff is personable, knowledgeable, and professional!!! Hendershot's carries a new and delicious Athletic Brewing Company non-alcoholic IPA brew with less than .5 alcohol called "Free Wave" "Hazy IPA. It's an up and coming trend. Do we not see it!!! Come and experience Hendershot's! Something for all!!! ❤️ Love it and highly recommend!

Very good sound and nice people. I saw a review complain about the sound so I had to jump in and say it's really the best! I don't like the prices for drinks- but who ever likes drink prices? - and I've not had much of the food, but the music serves many audiences, the cover charge is fair, the general atmosphere is welcoming, and I always like going here. I go out to see music a lot, and if something is at Hendershot's, I am more likely to attend.

I came in here two times to get coffee and study. The coffee is good if pricey and I love the vibes. The service from the owner in particular was abysmal. Passive aggressive, informing me on two separate occasions soon after I sat down that in nice words “Buy something or leave”. It’s an understood thing that when using a space like that you should support the business but the brash and uncouth manner in which he did it was mildly alarming.

It is a spacious cafe, has plenty of tables and chairs, has a variety of coffee, tea, hot, and cold drink options, I am not sure about their dessert, because I went there during the winter break late at night. The crew was nice, we tried Cuban de leche and apocalypse coffee drinks, the apocalypse drink has a hint of spicy cinnamon, it is strange but good. One thing be aware of is their hours, just check with the crew what time they close, because Google hours might be different.
