The staff here is awesome. Super helpful, knowledgeable, and definitely care more about making sure you get the right gear for you than just getting a sale.
I had a couple of people helping me get fit for a backpack (I wish I had gotten their names). I have a problem with packs and their frames hitting my butt. They worked with me to try on different packs and styles to find one that felt good. They even told me to check out some other packs they didn't have, even if that meant buying from someone else. I found one that was pretty good but wanted to try more on just in case and they totally understood. They told me other stores in town that would have more styles and they put my selection on hold for me! I did come back and purchase because of how informative and kind they were.

This is my dream gear store! We stopped in on our way to Havasu Falls and they had everything I could have asked for and more. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and let us try samples of the Canyon Crack before buying. Wish I lived closer because I would shop here all the time.

Stopped here to grab some gear to hike Humphreys peak (visiting from Maine). We needed microspikes because we didn’t bring our own out here, we didn’t realize you offered rentals and the staff was SO friendly and helpful with rentals for our trip. Saved a bunch of $$ without having to buy new gear (stuff we have at home)— thank you so much!! Also got to browse around when we finished our hike, what an awesome store would defs recommend them for all of your outdoor needs- great tuning prices too!

$1/hr street parking, part of the historic district, walk around and it is beautiful.
Walk further, cross the old Route 66, even more (window) shopping and small eateries and coffee places.
This whole area is full of history and art.
Noticed many new apartment/condo constructions going on, during Covid, imagine it is going to be crowded in a year, when the ASU students are back.

Peace Outfitters is THE spot to get all your outdoor gear from. Whether you are buying stuff for yourself, getting it as a gift, or renting out gear for the first time you will not be disappointed. I went here to get all the basic gear I needed for my first backpacking trip and not only did the staff let me try the stuff out in the store, they were even asking me questions to make sure they knew exactly what I was getting into to make sure they could accommodate what I needed. They even gave me suggestions on what dehydrated foods to get since this would be my first time having that experience as well! I was supported by 3 staff members and each one of them helped in some way shape or form. They were all extremely nice, conscientious, and were determined to make sure I had the best first backpacking experience ever. Thank you so much guys for all that you do!
