Great store with a lot of historical flair. Although they have everything you'd expected for a hardware store to carry, they also have soo much more. They have gun ammo, decorations, bbq's, and a lot of other popular novelties. You can find just about anything here except groceries. I can't wait to take my kids.

Update Dec 12. STILL a great place to shop! Children’s gifts, greeting cards, tools, hardware, you name it.

UPDATE APRIL 2023. Brought visiting family in for a fun walk around and to pick up a few needed items. As always, well-staffed, well-stocked and a joy to look at the tons of vintage Americana. Visiting this ACE is to step back in time 75 years. A must-see.

We were in Florence visiting with a friend for lunch and on the way out of town spotted this ACE Hardware and pulled over because we needed salt pellets for our water softener. What a find! Even if you visit ACE just to walk around, you must! First, the location and the building. This was a lumber and hardware business back in 1914! How cool is it that after more than 100 years, it's STILL a hardware store. The building is listed on the Arizona register of historic buildings (se my pic). It's adorable. But inside it gets even better. Aside from being stuffed with everything one could possibly need, as are all ACE Hardware stores, and also loaded with plenty of helpful employees, it's also decorated to match its age. A real treat. On our next visit when we're not out of time we'll go back and spend more time perusing the aisles and taking in the atmosphere. Check out my pic of the hammer door handle that greets you as you enter. Too fun.

From the second you walk in the store it's a very uncomfortable feeling. I've only been in this twice. I'm new to the area and heard lots about this store. But after seeing for myself it's the worst ace I've ever been in. The staff were following so close I could hardly breath as if I were here to rob the store. Which was not the case. "

The store was warm, welcoming, and had a wide variety of fun stuff. There’s screw selection went clear to the ceiling. I wish I had my phone with me to take a photo. They also had the 2 x 2 lumber I wanted. I got a cute hat and my hose repaired items I needed five stars for sure.

It is a quaint store and I love the accoutrements when you walk in. Five starts there! The help is very good, five stars there, and the prices at the shelves are good, but when you get to the register, I found them to be almost 20% higher. I went in twice and twice I was overcharged, had to demand the price at the shelves. Nobody seems interested in making corrections. When store prices are lower at the register, that's the fault of the person who correlates shelf price with cash register price. When the shelf price is low and the cash register prices are high, that's suspicious, to me, so watch the price increases when you shop there!
