Victor and staff gives you that family feel when you are in the store, they have an excellent selection of wines and cheeses and the best meats Star Market is there for the community and gets involved when the community asks for help like using their venue for bake sales or other great causes. Great selection of local produce as well as baked products from local bakers. Lets continue to support this familiar Salinas store

A unique non-corporate wonderful shopping experience. If there’s something I’m looking for that I usually have trouble finding. I just go to star market. they have a wonderful of assortment of pies from Gizdich Ranch and other locally sourced items. I always go to the Refrigerator case with Pastability ready to eat meals. They always have flavors of Campbell soup that I remember from my childhood and can’t find at corporate grocery stores. I was looking for atomic horseradish yesterday, and while they didn’t have it, they did have fresh horseradish that I bought for the first time and they were willing to cut the two pieces they had so I didn’t have to buy so much. Tell me where you can find that kind of customer service anymore? Their meat department is Premium and well known with Services I won’t even go into here. I left their produce department. Everything‘s very fresh. The bread selection is pretty good. I keep looking for Palermo French bread here in Salinas but you can’t find that brand in Salinas so I pick it up when I go to Monterey.

Well, let's see...PetSmart charges $6.99 for a dead non organic wheat grass for cats. Star Market charges $2.49...cant beat that! Good selection of veggies that you can't find anywhere else, like watermelon radish. Loaded with antioxidants!
Then you have the beer selection, which is holyer than though 😁 great selection of craft, and hard to find Beers. Bevmo might have a larger selection, but Star Market is all about quality over quantity!

Family friendly, everyone is friendly and helpful. Great vegetable area. Sources local people for pastries and pies. Very nice wine selection. Butcher counter, for that special order.

Five stars for Star Market... The place the locals go for the best local products and very good prices too. It doesn't look upscale from the outside and it's right across the street from Nob Hills Market but this one is way better although people don't know about it. So, I invite you to check it out and let me know if you LIKE it or dont

Super friendly! Really nicely curated selection across departments. Great representation of local producers. The wine aisle is a particular gem, with a fine selection from the nearby Santa Lucia Highlands alongside choice offerings from other Central Coast favorites.
