OMG! This place is a hidden gem!! in the last month I’ve been there three times. The staff is incredibly helpful… my last visit Joe helped me out to find some special hardware for an antique piece of furniture as well as some lights for my new stove. He took the time to help me put together some kind of Solution to the problem I had. This saved me so much money as he knew what to do and how to do it. The two parts he gave me along with instructions were $.18 each. This is so rare nowadays, and it reminds me of the old-school way of going to the hardware store where you figure it out yourself. Prior to that, I went to the Home Depot in Seaside and they wanted $10 for a tiny bracket and they did not know how to help me, they just told me to look for myself and see if I could find something because they were not able to help ….frustrating. Thank you, Ace Hardware in Marina and thank you, Joe!It’s a pleasure to believe that people actually care nowadays.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. I went in yesterday morning to purchase one item and the cashier was talking to a gentleman when I got into line. Once it was my turn she started to talk about politics and went on a rant about the current president and how she agrees with all the deportations. As a Latina I found it very crass and offensive to be talking about that on the company time. It made me very uncomfortable and I hope she is talked to and educated about those behaviors being inappropriate in the workspace. I do not feel comfortable coming into this specific location knowing that someone like her could attend me or a family member and make these sort of comments.

I went into the Marina Ace and was helped by a young man named Lorenzo. Very friendly , helpful and efficiently made my keys. It’s refreshing to see young people like this working hard and really acting like they are genuinely wanting to help customers. Been in lots of stores that the customer service is terrible. My friend also got her keys done and had suggested I get my keys made at Marina Ace and also mentioned that hopefully Lorenzo would be the guy to help simply based off of how nice and professional he was to my friend. Plus how efficiently he worked.

Gave 3 bc first associate hung up on me offended i gues. 2nd one answered question perfectly.

Called in to see if they have chainsaw chaps. First girl I talked to I asked if she knew what "stihl chaps" were. She said "you mean like wires?" I said no, is there someone who know what I'm talking about?... She hung up on me as if she was offended I guess lol.

I then called back and talked to another associate who knew what I was talking about and she helped me find them at another location. Awesome, just have to find the wright non offended employee 👍

I have been coming here for years. Even though it’s a relatively small neighborhood hardware store, I still find most of the things I need. Staff have always been helpful, and today a young lady and gentleman I had not seen before were no exception. They were playing some different music than the usual, which was a nice change too.

Beka in the paint department is so helpful. She is extremely knowledgeable about paint but also knows that store like the back of her hand. Ace Hardware is now my go to store because I know I can go in and out in less than 5 minutes. Also, I’m not really a handywomen and I know I can get a lot of help there because of her. Ace Hardware is very lucky to have her.

Always the best customer service! Went in for some hardware for a project and didn't know what I needed(1/8" x 3/4" hardware and grommets and washers, etc)...explained what I was trying to accomplish and got everything I needed. I've never had to ask anyone for help at this or the Salinas location. Good luck getting this kind of attention at those warehouse suppliers!
