I am a life long rock collector and I have been to SO many rock shops in my life it’s not even funny. This tiny whole in the wall place is probably my favorite shop I’ve ever set foot in. There were so many treasures and the prices were unbelievable. I bought a hand sized opalized ammonite that is gorgeous and easily worth twice what I paid. My favorite find though was a huge smoky quartz covered petrified wood piece, I’ve never seen anything like it! It’s hard to capture the sparkle in a picture but this thing is STUNNING! I wish I had bought every piece he had. I wonder if he ships…

Cool place has some local gems, minerals, and ores. Copper splashes are cool. Reference books, Peridot, native copper, Apache Tears , Rock Tumblers, and history books are available for purchase, among other rare soecimens from other mines.Some of the specimens are priced reasonably. Great place to pick up Az gems for a rock hunters collection. Recommend stopping by taking a look at different stones, fossils, etc.
