The Turquoise Room located in a historic hotel in Winslow, Arizona, La Posada, is an experience that everyone should try once. On our travels, we frequently stop in Winslow, Arizona, to rest before heading off to another destination. One place that we love to dine at is The Turquoise Room. We have always had a great experience with wonderful and delicious food and an excellent guest service experience.

Their service is impeccable, and the staff is always friendly. It's great when staff members remember you and have a conversation. This just shows how welcoming they are. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu items and will help you with your choices. The service was so great that they even reserved us a table for Thanksgiving Dinner. They were very accommodating even when they knew they were full for Thanksgiving. The staff members are all very professional.

The restaurant is beautiful and wonderfully decorated with native American art and rugs. The dining room is spacious and offers plenty of seating for their patrons. The restaurant also offers a bar area.

We have dined here numerous times, and the food has always been delicious. From breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the food was phenomenal and delicious. My favorite part, of course, would be desserts.

The Turquoise Room is definitely a restaurant that everyone should try. From the delicious food and excellent service, you definitely enjoy your meal.

Very friendly competent staff. Our food looked and tasted excellent. It was almost like stepping back to the Fred Harvey era. We certainly enjoyed the restaurant's and the hotels early 20rh century feeling. Highly recommended!

Absolutely excellent! We stopped in for a weekday lunch and dined in the bar area. Host was great and the bartender was super friendly & efficient (young man, receipt indicates #41) and the food is excellent. Carnitas tacos & Caesar salad = superb. The lounge was comfortable, super cute gift shop, beautiful artwork and absolutely impeccable space. Highest recommendation!

Very good food and atmosphere. We had 8 people in our group and most of us got a different entree. Everything was good and beautifully presented. Desserts were good too.

The restaurant is located in the La Pasoda Hotel which is beautiful and has an interesting collection of art work.

This is hands down the best restaurant on all of Route 66. I know, there are many 50s-style diners along the Route that would like to make that claim, but the Turquoise Room goes back even farther, to the era of rail travel, and Harvey House Hotels and restaurants.

Nestled inside La Posada Hotel, the fully restored 1930 Harvey House complex right beside the BNSF and Amtrak rails, it is simultaneously upper class, but without the pretentious expectations of having to get dressed up to dine there. Casual is always fine.

I always eat at the TR when staying at La Posada, but my travel plans to not always allow for lodging there. So I do the next best thing, which is to take time out for lunch or dinner, time much-deserved after racking up long miles, an, let’s be honest, a little self-indulgent as well!

My recent visit was for lunch, and I ordered the Arizona Grown Vegan Salad Bowl, a heaping serving of quinoa, teary beans, green beans, greens, jicama, carrots, avocado, air-popped corn, beets, cranberries, and kale strips. I went with the Lemon Tahini dressing, and a pint of Flagstaff-brewed Tower Station IPA to wash it all down.

Let’s just say that, in spite of it being a salad, I was hard-pressed to eat it all. I was stuffed. And if they can grow all of that in Arizona, then I am duly impressed!

I am happy that their three dining period menus are filled with a mix of Native cuisine, period cuisine from the Harvey era, and progressive fare. I am always grateful to find vegetarian and vegan items on the menu, demonstrating their sensitivities to different dietary requests. Bravo!

You don’t come to the TR to eat and run. No. This is Sit. Eat. Stay. I’m just glad I had only to the Grand Canyon yet to drive, so I took my time. As so should you.

Made a breakfast reservation with a request for a window table.
Don't be in a hurry, allow plenty of time.
Service and food were wonderful.
Worth going to just to check out La Posada. what a wonderful and unique place.
I had the chorizo hash while my daughter had the benedict style bruschetta.
We shared a fresh fruit bowl.

Had a very enjoyable dinner. The salmon in corn husk was delicious and the ambience was perfect for a relaxing meal.
Tips:
- Get a view by the windows to watch the trains going by
- Best to go for dinner
- Reservations are required
- Spend time to see the beautiful hotel and artwork throughout
