I am an old lady who really doesn't get to talk to too many people nowadays especially with all those doohickeys around. Luckily there was this sweet and cute little boy named jeremy in the store, He came right up to me and greeted me with the classic ace saying "welcome to the dublin california, ace alamo hardware store". He helped me find a really solid impact drill for my son (hes 16). Thank you jeremy! Perfect help!

This is my go-to hardware store, I've been here many times and love it. Employees are friendly and helpful, and the store is a manageable size and not overwhelming to browse. And yet they always have what I need.

On my last visit I needed a specific size bolt and nut cap that were very unusual (typical non-standard fasteners in furniture ordered off Amazon with atypical threads). Brad helped me find something very similar, and it worked! He invested about 5 minutes trying to help me solve my fastener mystery, he was so helpful. I do not like the "other" massive hardware chains stores at all, Ace is great and this location in particular is excellent. I'll be back!

Alamo Hardware is a great local store that offers a solid selection of tools, home improvement supplies, and garden essentials. Terrible return polices and was treated with disrespect. I went to return a
$2 item that was hand picked from the shelf by one of their employees. It only sat on my counter until I returned it 2 weeks later. When I went to return it, they said they could not accept it because it was opened. When I looked at a new product it did appear to be ‘taped’ however the manager wouldn’t give me the benefit of the doubt for such an inexpensive policy. If they have such a policy then they shouldn’t be resolving opened items. Now I paid for it and was treated as less than. Previous returns were also painful where anything over $50 required manager approval for an item clearly defect. It is too bad. Was so happy to have a hardware store nearby, but given the nature of home improvement needing regular returns and the always I was treated I’ll avoid shopping here and go somewhere I can trust and be treated better

Asian guy supervisor was on his phone with his wife trying to help me which was unprofessional. I had my daughter and son to apply because they we’re hiring and the other guy Tario told my daughter after she did the enter view that he was looking for 6 more people, before he hired her never reached back out but have all her information. I never heard of waiting to hire someone because you need more people. Either the store needs the help or not!

I love this store! They offer so many good brand products. And I like the way the store is laid out. So much easier than say Home Depot.
Also, I’m a grandma and they have many educational games and toys. You can do your Bday and Xmas shopping here.
And they have lovely gifts for the home. So if you are going to a Housewarming Party, this is the place to shop.
I can find everything I need for my home improvement projects too!
And I garden. So here I come again!
They do get my business!
You should go by. I think you’d be impressed and find just what you need!

Hi I’m a contractor plumber I buy two DELTA SINGLE HANDLE CARTRIDGE. For 69.99 each and when I install at my customer house one was defected from main factory, I when back to store and return and this person with name Jeremy was very offensive that we can’t return that part because is open package , how you going to test a new part or how we know the part is defective with out take out from package , plus he give a bud attitude, special when is not a $5.00 part, store is looking good, nice and clean bud this person have very bud attitude when come to return situation

Highly recommend this store, especially for those trying to do some DIY and need help. Lots of very senior staff there who approach you and offer to help. They don’t do hard sale, rather they may even recommend you something they don’t even sell in your best interest. It has happened few times. Recently I had to do an emergency repair for my exterior widow and I was quoted $850 for fixing, with the sales associate’s suggestion I was able to find the part elsewhere for $11 and fix it by myself.
