Alexander's Store - Blairsville, Georgia

The oldest store in Blairsville I believe. It was established in 1931. It’s a cute but large store now with a lot of stuff. The store looks small from the outside but when you come inside, the store just goes far to the back. The first time I visited this store was about 33 years ago and it was a small store that I can remember. But even back then, they had almost everything that I could think of.

This store has it all. It’s not a fancy, high end store but they do have some really nice home decor as well as clothing, shoes and accessories. I went specifically for furniture shopping today but at this time their sporting goods are the focus. A nice sales associate told me that after the first of the year they were going to reopen and restock the furniture dept. This store is so fun to visit because it is huge! Around every corner there’s a whole new section of merchandise. It’s all very neat and well organized, too. Better than most mall dept stores! I’ve shopped and purchased many furniture items over the years and I’ve always been very pleased. Alexander’s is a must see spot.

The staff at Alexander's is always extremely polite and helpful. Not only do they have almost everything you need,(except electronics), they are a great representation of what a locally-owned country store should be. I love going there.

We live in Toccoa and have visited Alexander’s a least twice a year for many years now. We stopped in today and was very disappointed.
Looks like they got rid of half the store inventory and the sporting goods was the worst.
I heard on the way out it had been sold to new owners.
Not worth the trip or time.

We're in wine country between lunch wine and dinner wine, so we popped to Alexanders for a browse. This place has just about everything (though no wifi). Clothing, candy, boots, hiking stuff, hunting stuff, furniture, and yes, guns. Lots of guns.

Prices were medium to high but there is great quality. And just about every caliber of ammunition you could need as well as archery equipment.

Me and my wife are from Augusta, Ga and have traveled up this way on more than one occasion and have visited Alexander’s before, but today we visited the store, I shopped around and looked at boots, pants and went to the firearm department to look for a new magazine for my pistol. Not finding exactly what I needed I found my wife who was interested in purchasing a few clothing items she had found, after checking out and proceeding to the exit, we were met by 3 police officers who detained me at the entrance of the store in front of everyone and told me the owner of the store had seen me shoplift some ammo and place it in my jacket pocket ( I did not have on a jacket at all) after the police searched me and found nothing, they also viewed security footage and again found nothing, even after they found nothing, me nor my wife caused a scene other than being detained at the front door, the owner never once came out to apologize for falsely accusing me of shoplifting, on top of that he still wanted the police officers to issue us no trespassing paperwork that means we are never allowed into Alexander’s store again or we could be arrested. After having said all of this, I am heavily tattooed (face included) so after not having shoplifted nor caused any kind of scene, and having spent money in this establishment, it’s pretty clear that I was profiled based on my appearance.

My wife and I bought our living room group, bedroom group, and several odd pieces from Alexander's furniture department. We had shopped around at other furniture stores for the best price, and we were given the BEST price at Alexanders. Our salesman was Jeb. He was very helpful, went above and beyond to help us, and treated us very fairly. If we buy anymore furniture...they have our business. We love Alexanders. Thank you for your great customer service!

This place has a huge inventory of just about anything you could want for you or your homestead. Shirts, pants, jackets, etc.. They have a big selection of shoes and boots. If you're looking for furniture, we'll, Alexander's has it. Tables, chairs, couches, recliners... it's all here. Special mention goes to their huge hunting department. Guns, ammo, camouflage, accessories... you want it? Alexander's has it.
