First time visiting the exchange with my wife and granddaughter. The selection was more than I expected better than Walmart, plus it was tax-free.. And the commissary had everything you could possibly need, We will be coming back soon.

Aafes has gone up so much on their prices that they are no longer competitive with the market. Walmart and Target have better prices and better selection even when paying taxes.

The store looks just like it did over 20 years ago. Literally... areas where what appears to be the start of remodeling and not completed. The food court, most are closed and the hours are not the same as the exchange hours. Inventory lacks across the board, prices are ridiculous. Can't imagine how any of the young enlisted can afford anything. Because it's almost unaffordable for a retired senior enlisted. 70 to 80 dollars for a shirt !! 50 bucks for blue jeans!! It's a wonder noone wants to shop at the exchange. Firearms are cheap tactical... no nice sporting arms. Especially in the location of this exchange. The exchange has always been known for selling "name brand " products. However, they were at an affordable price and wide selection. So it defeated the argument of shopping at a off base "discount " department store. But when you walk in to an outdated [decor and up keep] sore, with a lack luster Inventory and on top of that the prices are no better than and higher than off base. Why shop the exchange ? Which is sadly disappointing because use of the exchange is a great benefit of the military and the base. Here we asking the question of lack of retention... well here's part of the answer.

The housewares selection is not great but they cover all the basics. They have some good quality items but mostly just the bare essentials. Prices are reasonable and the store is clean if not that well organized. I love the clothing section, but same story. Some of it is very crowded. It could be better, but if you're shopping for just an item or two, is more than adequate.
