I've unfortunately had no choice but to go to this hospital as it's the closest to me and I have had a lot of emergencies in the past few years and let me tell you when I say the care hasn't improved over time not one bit I mean it. If I explained everything this hospital has done to me and my family in full detail I'd be writing a book so here's just a simple run down of things that have happened to us at this place.

In 2021 I attempted suicide and was placed in the ICU for 3 days. The doctor on the unit used me as a case study for his medical students and said I was the "most bizarre case he's seen in ten years" right to my face while I was at my lowest. When I asked him to get the students out he refused and continued to make me feel like I wasn't even a person. I was of course sent to a psychiatric hospital and came back home feeling worse than I did before I attempted.

Roughly June 17th, 2024 I needed to get a brain MRI as part of the process I went through to get my epilepsy and PNES diagnosis. After the doctor strapped my head down in the machine he went to start the IV to put the contrast. He kept talking up a storm the entire time he was trying to put in an IV wasn't wearing gloves didn't even wipe my arm clean until I told him to and ended up blowing my vein.

Every time my Nana goes up there they treat her like she's dumb and try to lecture her as if she doesn't know her own body. Sometimes she'll end up walking home from the hospital after signing discharge papers because she feels like it's a waste of time.

On the 7th of this month I got into a car accident and spent over an hour screaming for pain medicine because I had severe injuries and felt like fainting from the pain. The crash happened around 8-9pm and I didn't get painkillers until after 10:40pm when I was in the CT machine. One nurse ended up accidentally (or not accidentally because you can't tell with how mean these people are) bumping my broken foot and when I cussed because it hurt another nurse got upset at me for it. They only x-rayed my foot from one angle and said I only had a broken big toe and the only thing they did for it was wrap it in sticky wrap. I went to bone and joint later on and found out my third metatarsal (top of foot following the third toe) is also broken and I need to wear an orthopedic boot for at least a month. Another thing is that as stated I had a back injury, and had to get another doctor to order a CT of my spine because the previous doctor didn't order it during my other tests when it should've been the first thing he ordered.

You'll find a few good nurses here and there and they're usually younger. It's the older workers there that tend to be very mean and degrading. I actually was a med student before what happened on the 7th, but after experiencing that on top of my previous mistreatment from this hospital, I no longer have a desire to work in healthcare and regret putting effort into the classes I took to one day become a nurse.

Arrived at emergency room and was treated great the time I spent there before being transfered to a room for 2 days and nights. During my stay, everyone was very kind and professional. Hospital was very clean and up to date.

I have been to this hospital a couple times, and there's only 2 doctors that I like that work this whole place. I try my best to come up here when their here cause they get the job done, their kind, they listen to you and your in and out. But there's only one doctor on day shift and night shift that work in this er which Is ridiculous and that's why people are having to wait for hours to get seen and have a room open cause it takes so long to see patients and get them in and out with one doctor on duty every day. I'll start going to Douglas..

We were from out of state and my husband was having trouble controlling his glucose level. We had no idea where to go to get help for him. One of our friends suggested Alma Hospital . We had to drive a good distance to get there. We actually had a very , very good experience there. We observed that the hospital and ER were very clean, it was one of the cleanest hospitals we had ever been in. The staff were wonderful and so willing to help. The nurse we had in the ER was amazing! Thanks Carrie for taking such great care of my husband! We truly appreciated her. What an incredible, caring personality she had! Thank you Dr.Adams for listening and thoroughly checking out my husband and giving him the best care possible .
We feel like we made the right decision choosing to go to this hospital.

This is the worst hospital I have ever been to I had to go to the ER on November 13 2023 after I fell and landed on my left foot wrong they came in and did x-rays of my foot the Dr. In the ER didn't even look at the x-rays came in and told me I had a bad sprang , when I got back to my home town I went to Georgia bone and joint had more x-Rays done the Dr. Came in for georgia bone and joint and told me I had crushed my left heel and I needed to have surgery to repair it they had to put a plate and screws in my heel to put it back together. So now I'm getting calls from bacon county hospital stating that I owe the 90.00 for service , when their dr. Miss diagnosed my injury , for this reason I don't feel like I owe them any more then what they have already got from my insurance company.

After reading some posts last night, I felt a little reluctant to have my husband’s surgery done there today…. We couldn’t have been more pleased!!! From the time we entered the facility to the time my husband was discharged, all personnel were very friendly, caring, and professional!!! There was no delay or undue waiting time at the surgery center, but everything went smoothly and efficiently!!! Thank you for making this experience such a good one 💕

Visiting family for Thanksgiving, and unfortunately had to go to the ER. I have an extensive recent surgical history. Dr Felix was very efficient and professional. With the assistance of Jessi and Autumn everything flowed like a well oiled machine. Even though, Kaitlyn appeared to be distracted and unconcerned through out the night. I apologized to her for having to press the call light and she did say that she accepted my apology. Other than this, the SERVICE WAS AMAZING. Dr Felix has such a comforting and peaceful spirit about her, which immediately puts you at ease. She listened to my complaints and showed compassion, which is a blessing. I have had 13 admissions since 01/2023, so I get scared when something doesn’t feel right. Dr. Felix relieved my fears, because she is so thorough and gentle. All of the lovely staff that we came in contact with was SUPER FANTASTIC! Thank you Dr Felix and staff for treating me with dignity and respect. That is hard to find these days. To be treated like a human being with some compassion and not being judged for asking for pain relief is unheard of. This entire shift needs a raise. Keep u the good work.
Respectfully,
Jody and Rex Campbell
