This is our favorite souvenir shop in St Pete. We go every time we are in town (which is multiple times a year). They have quality merchandise and fun gifts. The staff are usually quite young and not very friendly or helpful, but other than that, it is a great place for St. Pete gifts. They also have brand name merchandise, like Salt Life, Sinply Southern, Oakley, and shoes/sandals. The styles are they carry are always new and fresh.

My grandson was in tears. He was so excited to use the new goggles that we purchased at Beach Zone. We got to the beach and he tried them on there was a huge gap letting water in. I tried them on myself and my other three grandchildren. The gap was an issue for all of us. I consoled my grandson, telling him that we would exchange them. Went back to the store that afternoon and they refused to exchange the goggles. I would not spend another dime in a store that will not back their own product. My grandson was so disappointed. We are stuck with a $20 piece of junk.

Poor attitudes and customer service. So many other swim shops nearby to give your business to, don’t waste your time here being treated rudely when your money is valuable. I’m willing to pay high prices for nice things, but as a local I’m not desperate to buy stuff from this store just because it’s near a hotel. Spent $350 on items here yesterday and got attitude today because I wanted to exchange some unworn child flip flops for a different size, which there is no posted policy on all shoes being final sale. The signage around the store about ruining someone’s life tells you all you need to know lol and heaven forbid you ask to use the restroom (the sign says “NO NO NO”). Yesterday I had to interrupt the socializing workers to get their attention to ring me up, today the worker was busy hawking the cameras looking for potential thieves instead of assisting legitimate shoppers. It’s $0 to just speak to someone kindly, so I think I will take my money elsewhere next time.

Sold us absolutely crap goggles. They don’t work!!!!! At all. They were $20 they won’t even let us exchange them or get our money back. We brought them back within a few hours of purchase. With the receipt. Won’t ever return here and recommend everyone we know that travels here to TradeWinds to stay away. They sold us broken junk and wouldn’t do anything about it.

Do NOT visit this establishment. My daughter purchased a pair of sweatpants one day ago and when going to the airport the next day, 3 holes in the in seam were noticed. I immediately called. The gentlemen who answered (didn’t answer with Beach Zone or a name) said he was “busy” and to ship them back. I asked for a shipping label so they cover shipping as it is their defective product. He wasn’t offering that or any customer service and hung up! Astounding that some people stay in business. It’s a shame bc you do not know how their customer skills are until you have an issue. Please do not give this person business, as they simply are too busy to care.

I love stopping in here when I'm in the area. Although prices aren't cheap they are better than some other beach shops. Very good selection of t's, swim suits, souvenirs. My only suggestion is that the staff should be welcoming people when they arrive. Today one of the employees walked around rather loudly on her phone chatting the whole time I shopped. To be fair both places I shopped at today didn't have a welcoming entrance. No one says hi, can I help you. Interesting how times have changed. That's why I didn't give any less stars since it's all over at retail locations. Customer service is hard to come by. It's still worth going to this location for the selection. You'll find something to buy.

Great selection for tourist items. Reasonable sale prices.
Staff could be friendlier/more welcoming. One lady (long dyed blond pony tail) had zero manners. Instead of excusing herself, she bumped (hard) right into me as I was looking at an item. She did say "Sorry". But I know an ill meaning "sorry", when I hear one. Her RBF didn't help either.
