had a break-in to our car sitting in the driveway last night at midnight. Spouse heard the guy get access to the vehicle, called 911 and watched him in the drivers seat ( with the dome light on, and a coffee in hand 🙂 ) for about 5 minutes while I was on line with Bellaire dispatch. Patrol car with Officer Garza arrived before the dispatcher was finished with me around 5 minutes maybe a bit more.
Flipped on the porch light--approached the vehicle. Guy ran. Police caught the guy about 10 houses down the street.

Well done team. ID was easy since we watched him and described him in detail to the dispatch. Much improved response time versus a similar 2017 incident. Hats off to the Bellaire team and especially officer Garza who made us feel well looked after and important. The dispatcher ( unknown name) was very calm and asked good questions. Guy is in Harris County jail---maybe not for long, but he was at least apprehended. Really impressed with the response time.

Two lessons. Need to get that front door monitor installed-- currently sitting on kitchen counter for last month since we switched from ATT to Simply Safe, and always , always lock your car doors or put it in the garage. Make it a routine to check at bed time.

This review is about Officer John Edwards and our car seat install/check.

Made an appointment via email with Mr. Edward’s to have him check our car seat. Being first time parents, we don’t really know what we’re doing and the way we had installed it ourselves would’ve failed our car seat check when trying to take our baby home from the hospital. He was super informative and made sure we felt comfortable with all our questions answered. Really appreciated his help and would recommend if you need a car seat install-check.

My family has lived in Bellaire for over 40 years. As a teenager I was pulled over and cited multiple times over the years. Each time I was in the wrong and was cited or warned appropriately. The Bellaire police have done an excellent job over the years keeping the residents safe. The city of Bellaire borders an undesirable part of Houston full of low rent apartment communities. And they do a phenomenal job of keeping crime at bay. Great job BPD keep it up.

Had a gun put in my face multiple times throughout my life and I lived in the community. Bored officers looking for action and ready to pull their guns. I had 4 officers roll up on me when I was 12 and almost shoot me because I was walking over to my friends house with my airsoft gun. Then again when I was 19 we locked ourselves out of my friends moms house and had to use a ladder from the backyard to climb in his moms second story window to unlock the front door. They thought we were breaking in and had guns in my face and I was handcuffed face down in my friends front yard.

Lack common decency. VERY excessive with force. If you dont look like you have money you will be profiled and targeted. Good for nothing but passing out tickets. Cuffs were put on me so tight it cut into both of my wrists. Was on my way to work and I work at HEB. My registration was out, and the officer was hitting on my car telling me to get out of the car and when I rolled down my window to ask what the problem was he continued to yell get out of the car and treated me like a scum. I actually went and got an xray on my wrists and one of them is fractured.

Police officer Rocha was behind me and I gave him right of way but still behind me so I stopped and he approached me and said I'm not wearing seatbelt. I was wearing my seatbelt and never took it off while driving. I told the officer there must be a mistake you have seen somebody else not me I'm always wearing my seatbelt even while I was talking to him it was on and he said your seatbelt behind your shoulder. I told him you can see it's not. I never place my seat belt behind my shoulder. He then gave me a ticket and after asked for my cell phone number and he asked me to say it again 5 times because he can't hear me. First I was accused of not wearing a seatbelt even though I was and never place it behind my shoulders. Officers should protect people but if he can't hear me that I have to repeat my cell phone number 5 times plus insist on his thought even though he saw I was wearing seatbelt correctly. I don't trust he can do his job well. I will contest the ticket that he gave me. This is not fair.
