Went to The Cellar to get a gift for a traveling nurse as a thank you. Went there to get something that would be a useful remembrance of the area and wouldn't take up a lot of room in luggage. So many options! The volunteers were so helpful in picking out something perfect.

If you are looking for something special swing by The cellar for something unique to the area. Lovely souvenirs to those who come to visit the Nobel prize winners childhood home.

After eating at the beautiful John Steinbeck House, my husband and I saw their gift shop, The Best Cellar, downstairs. It was fortunate that we parked on the side where it's located (although, we would't have minded the employees mentioning it). They have so many wonderful articles,
thoughtfully chosen, cards to boot! A perfect place to shop for a gift (Christmas, as well). If you haven't discovered this treasure, please make a point to stop by. Very convenient on Central. Staff are all volunteers, very nice folks!!
