Booked a room for just one night before heading to Mammoth, so it was a very quick stay.

Arrived around 8pm on a Friday night and there wasn't too much parking left. Maybe only 2-3 spots from the main lot. Not sure if there's more parking in the back.

Check-in and check-out process was a breeze. Both employees were super friendly and professional. They ask for your car plate number to ensure your car good.

The room itself was nothing more than you want from a very basic motel. The bed didn't have bed bugs, the bathroom was clean, shower pressure was nice (although the shower head is a bit low for tall people), the TV worked, the blackout curtains were effective, the electrical panels worked fine. We were only there to sleep one night so we didn't need it to have anything more.

Breakfast starts at 6am, which is super convenient since we needed to leave super early for the slopes. Basic complimentary hotel food options, but the lady maintaining it, Maria, was the most adorable, friendly, and lovely person. She was attentive and on it with helping people out. She's so great.

Good hotel option around the area if you don't want to pay too much to stay at Wayfinder or Cielo and not go super cheap and stay at a sketch motel/inn.

The staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Property felt safe and secure. Hot tub was not working so call ahead to see if it’s functioning before making a reservation. Breakfast was average. Scrambled “eggs“ were awful. Light sleepers beware… we woke up to feral cats fighting several times at night outside our door.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and quiet, and everything worked except the bathtub stopper. Also, the heater was noisey, but I have yet to find a quiet one. The breakfast room was clean and orderly with a good selection of food. The Jacuzzi is in desperate need of resurfacing, but the temperature was perfect and jets worked.

This was a lovely hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful and the rooms were cozy and clean. I almost didn't want to leave. They had a full breakfast bar and the lady in there kept it well sticked and very clean. It's in a great location to walk and get food and enjoy the town also. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Me and my husband expected a nice stay in one of the more expensive hotel/motels in Bishop, but soon things changed. We booked Best Western primarily for the pool + hot tub, the fitness gym, and the Continental breakfast, but found that the gym equipment was half broken and a hazard, and the pool was covered in black algae! I was so looking forward to a refreshing swim but was disgusted by the state of the hot tub and pool, pictured. I'm also pregnant and know that black algae can cause infections which would be incredibly harmful to my pregnancy.
Plus, our room they first put us in was filthy and had a clogged toilet with urine and toilet water spilled everywhere, and the tub was dirty and there was hair. Gross. This shouldn't happen! How does this go unnoticed? How are they sending new guests into dirty rooms? How are they walking past a bacteria ridden pool and continuing on? And I could've easily been seriously hurt on one of the gym machines as a part was missing causing the steel bar to fly into the sky when changing weights. Very unsafe.
Positive: the breakfast was good and the staff running it incredibly nice, but the toaster was broken so toast and bagels were null.

Our room was very nice, updated and very clean. The pool and jacuzzi were a great and relaxing after a day of hiking in the heat.
Breakfast was very good and had a lot of options.
This was our first stay at this particular location and we will happily return.

Looks like a Mexican prison design with the narrow fluorescent lit hallways and bar style window architecture. Walkable to restaurants and shops around this small town. Pet friendly, clean room with a guest laundry facility. Pool was closed for the winter and the hot tub while open was an unwelcoming green. “Pet areas” leave a lot to be desired, looks like a dust bath for chickens if you ask me. Fitness room is basic however the musty, damp smell kept me out. Unimpressed by the breakfast selections, eat somewhere else! Good spot on your way to elsewhere and not much more, $230/n wasn’t worth while.

I think the hotels in Bishop are mostly the same. My stay was fine. The hot breakfast was nice. The room layout was weird, but the beds were comfortable. The people working the hot breakfast are so nice and helpful.

But I'm leaving a two star review because I was double-billed for the same stay: I prepaid for the booking using my credit card, and then the hotel billed me again for the same stay on the day I left. The person working the front desk did not really seem to know what they were doing - they were very young and seemed apathetic about their job, and did not acknowledge me when I waved hi to them (likely because they had airpods in).

It's also a pain in the ass to try to get a double-charge removed because the credit card co will tell you to call the hotel, the hotel will send you in circles to different departments before telling you to call your credit card, and you end up feeling like they just hope you'll forget about this tiny $270 charge because the person with the authority to actually make the refund is always unavailable for whatever BS reason.
