Consignors beware!! We took an expensive Hekman coffee table here to be sold and they either dropped it and broke a leg or did not know how to attach the cross-braces between the legs.
They called us about 3 times to tell us the table was broken or falling apart, and yet they gladly accepted the table for consignment when we delivered it. They denied damaging it and yet now we will have to junk it or give it away.

This is new ownership. I took dozens of items here years ago when our mothers passed away and everything sold promptly and for good prices. Beth was thoroughly professional and always treated her customers right. Not any more!!

Below is a photo of the table in my living room and what it looked like when we dropped it off. It was too large for our current home...nothing else wrong with it.

I AM IN THIS STORE AS WE SPEAK AND ABSOLUTELY NO ONE SPOKE TO ME! They are not busy whatsoever and even if they were that is unacceptable. They damn sure were acting too busy to speak to me though. I even hung around where other customers were and workers spoke to them, and still didn’t speak to me. I definitely won’t be back. I’d suggest you stay away.

"I recently purchased a bracelet from Board of Trade and was extremely disappointed with both the product and the customer service I received. I spent a significant amount of money, $500 to be exact, on what I thought was a high-quality piece of jewelry. However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration when the bracelet fell off my arm the first time I wore it.

Concerned about the faulty clasp, I reached out to the store to address the issue. After explaining my experience, I even went the extra mile by leaving the bracelet with them for a day, urging them to wear it themselves to see the problem firsthand. Their response was disheartening - they claimed to have no issues with the bracelet.

Feeling dismissed and disregarded, I took matters into my own hands and sought a second opinion from my trusted jeweler. They confirmed there was indeed an issue with the clasp. Not only did I have to deal with the inconvenience of a defective product, but I also had to pay out of pocket to have the clasp secured.

What disappoints me the most is that this is a store I have been loyal to for years, having spent thousands of dollars there. However, it seems that under new management, the level of care and consideration for customers has severely declined.

As a result of this experience, I have lost trust and confidence in Board of Trade It's a shame that they chose to prioritize short-term profits over long-term customer satisfaction. Needless to say, they have lost a customer for good. I would have preferred genuine care and attention to my concerns rather than feeling insulted and disregarded.

Overall, I cannot recommend Board of Trade based on my recent experience. Be cautious when making purchases here, as you may not receive the quality or service you expect, especially if issues arise.
