I love their clothes but can't in good conscience support a business that actively promotes racism. Am a white woman. Went in with my nonwhite friend. Workers greeted me with a smile. Very helpful and smiled when I asked them anything, helping me reach items. Completely ignored my friend. At one point gave her angry stares when she was just looking through the clothes like everyone else. When I got a fitting room they just led me in. When my friend asked for a fitting room, they loudly counted clothes before she went into the room, insisted on counting again when she came out, and loudly made comments about how certain customers steal. At the register thought it might be better bc we were both buying stuff but cashier was warm and pleasant towards me while being cold, rude, and even treating the clothes my friends poorly just shoving them into the bag.

It's 2024. Racism isn't cool anymore. I don't understand how folks can in good conscience shop at a store which promotes obvious racism as mentioned in many of the other comments. We are both medical professionals that try our best to serve the Palo alto community and work 6 days a week, overt racism really ruined our one day off...

The worst store shopping experience EVER. The girls working there are rude and obnoxious. Specifically the closing staff on 10/26/24 at 7:45pm-7:50pm. Please consider hiring new staff who won’t blast music to get people to leave and talk about the people in the store and rudely check people out. Never again will I come here.

Workers were extremely rude and disrespectful, having no decency to treat people as human beings. They did an extremely sloppy job, throwing our items into the bag and completely ignoring us.

I don't understand some of the hateful comments. Customer service was fine. I was ignored at Nordstrom when I was shopping there dressed in workout gear. I am grateful for a nice clothing option downtown Palo Alto, where most of downtown is food and quite boring, honestly. I have lived downtown for 20 years. I loved it when it was family-friendly.

Selection of clothes is very organized by color and clothing type so that’s appreciated and compared to Santana Row Brandy it was much cleaner. Carried better selection and was more in touch with the clothing on the website. But, customer service was much worse than Santana Row Brandy, these workers are the “typical” Brandy workers, while Santana Row workers are nicer and more friendly.

I had an unfortunate experience of visiting the Brandy Melville store on February 6. As I browsed through the items in search of a potential purchase, I asked for help from a store assistant to put aside few items I've already decided on. I was shocked to see that my outfits-to-be were carelessly tossed onto a recycle bin behind the counter. It is an apparent lack of consideration for hygiene and customer satisfaction. It made me question the overall cleanliness of the merchandise. It is so disgusting!!! And not safe for community! The shop with such a lack of health safety must be closed permanently!!!

Another thing that chocked me that no one even cared to say "Sorry". Looks like handling the goods like a garbage is a norm for this store.

I've been a fan of Brandy Melville in the past, but this experience has left me with a sour taste. I must say it was far from the shopping experience I had hoped for. Never will come to this shop again.

The customer service was actually insanely awful, a bunch of employees all behind the counter talking and on their phones, I don’t know what I expected honestly but it wasn’t that 😭 cashier didn’t even acknowledge me once
