A laidback, casual spot good for passing by and deciding you'd like a quick bite. Menu pretty much covered all the bases & fried chicken was yummy - had a curry-like seasoning to it & came with 4 different sauces (orange aioli ordered separately).
Soup of the day was a mushroom soup with chicken based broth - pretty good if you're interested.
Went around 1:30 & there was a game on so noise was a bit up there at times which is to be expected; a bar&grille isn't your same cozy bistro if that's what you're looking for.
Overall, I love a casual spot and this one is a comfortable Sonoma edition.

We walked in to B&V Whiskey Bar & Grille on a whim, and we found ourselves eating the best ravioli and gnocchi we've ever had! Both of those were made on the spot, absolutely fresh. DL Tsering was our excellent server who walked through our choices, explained the processes, a little of the history of the place... spent a lot of time with us. Great food, great service!

Went for prime rib on Thursdays, which was delicious. Great meal at a great price $65. Our server T was great. I have a nut allergy and he was careful to make sure my entree and dessert were nut free. I will return on my next visit to Sonoma. T recommended to try the homemade pasta next time.

Great location in the heart of historic downtown Sonoma, we stopped here for lunch before going on our way for our wine tastings.

The interior is traditional, warm and comfortable. The service is attentive and kind.

I ordered a pasta dish as the website said the pastas are homemade but the rest of the table ordered the burgers.

The Paglia Fieno pasta was good but in my opinion had way too many onions or shallots. I think they were onions. It was unexpected but completely took over the other flavors. I added shrimp and those were cooked perfectly and delicious.

My meal-mates said the burgers were amazing and the fries were a great addition. Maybe the way to go for lunch as they are know for grilled meats a a main dinner recommendation.

I come here every weekend with my girlfriends and sit at the bar. Michelle and Tim are the BEST and offer fast and friendly service. Their drinks are the best in town! The food and ambiance are great as well but we come here specifically for Tim and Michelle!!

Service was awesome. Our waiter “T” couldn’t do enough for us and was very attentive. For a small bar/ restaurant, the food was excellent. The soup of the day was great and the pastas are homemade and had great flavor. I would definitely return!

We came here on Christmas Eve and really enjoyed the experience! This was one of the few places that had a Yelp Reservation on Christmas eve so we really appreciated that as tourists to Sonoma.

Good:
The service here is quick!

I really liked the lobster bisque soup - small portion size but really tasty and has a lot of cream.

The gnocchi here is a huge portion size, super heavy too so I couldn't finish it but the bacon inside it made the whole dish super juicy and yummy.

I also liked the squid ink risotto - it had a unique plating and had a lot of shrimp and scallop that came with it so it was a good amount of food.

The ambiance here is also really cozy, and you can see the food being made in the clear windows to the kitchen.

Bad:
I found the lobster tagliatelle just standard, I don't think it had enough flavor.

Overall, this place is a really great place for being available to book on Yelp - it's not a super unique experience but it's a good place to go for really solid food.

We stopped in here for drinks before a reservation at another local spot on the square, and Tim served us some great cocktails and was SO nice!
We headed to the other spot, and very shortly walked out after our server was the most rude person I had ever encountered. We decided we loved Tim so much that would head back, especially after we watched some chefs hand making pasta!
Turns out that a couple we met at a nearby winery was there and invited us to have dinner with them, which ended up being amazing! Michelle was our server and we stayed so long that we closed the place down.
We got the crab ravioli and a salad to share and both were so good! They even brought us over a round of bubbly after hearing about our debacle at the other restaurant.
Huge thanks to B & V for being excellent hosts and taking care of us!
