Cake Daddy's - Wilton Manors, Florida

My Brit-born husband was asking for a "sponge cake with lemon filling" for his birthday. I dropped the ball on that one but wanted to surprise him with one for Christmas. I didn't even know what a sponge cake was (and neither did a local competitor bakery) but Cake Daddy came to the rescue!

I brought the cake home on Christmas Eve, and I think husband was excited (it's hard to tell with the Brits). We had some friends over the next day and when presented with the cake, they all politely requested "a sliver". However, after a few bites, the true nature of my friends was revealed as they acted like animals, fighting for a larger piece of cake. It was mortifying. I had to relieve one of my friends of the knife before something tragic happened.

So, the custom cake was delicious, even if it was disappointing to find out my friends are savages. As a bonus, the entire staff lives up to the promise of their name, as they were all exceptionally attractive and nice. (I'm looking at you Will)

The cakes are great! The staff is amazing! My only complaint is this is the 3rd time in 4 days I’ve driven over from a1a just for a cinnamon bun and they’re sold out. I called while at work this time before I headed over and again… they’re gone. I love u guys and have spent 100’s of dollars between a birthday cake and tons of cupcakes but I give up on cinnamon buns. The pics below are just a few of the orders I’ve placed in the last 2 weeks. I’ll c u if we need a specialty cake but no more 20min drives for cinnamon buns that aren’t available. 💗 ps the lemon blueberry cake and pineapple upside down cake are INCREDIBLE! Def recommend!

This was my first time in Wilton Manors and my coworker and I decided to stop here to pick up dessert after picking up food from Ethos.
I got the guava cupcake, pistachio cookie, and key lime pie tart and they were all wonderful! The key lime was my favorite.
The owners and staff were incredibly pleasant and nice to me. I am a cupcake lover and they have a wonderful array of flavors.
If I am ever in this area again, I will be sure to stop by.

We decided to make a pit stop there after eating lunch next door at Etho's and boy, were we happy we did. We got two chocolate peanut butter cupcakes and two banana cupcakes. When we got back to the office, we couldn't wait to try them. They were probably the best cupcakes we have tasted in a LONG time! They were so good that two hours later we went back to the store to get more! This time, Will, the manager helped us. He was so kind and friendly. He even gave us a little back story about the history of the bakery. Thank you for the delicious cupcakes. We will definitely be back to try the other flavors.. and cookies!

Had lunch at the spot nextdoor and absolutely could not resist stopping in here it looked so CUTE! Not to mention the treats looked delish. I loved the guy at the counter he was friendly and gave great recommendations. I got the key lime mini pie, my friend got the carrot cake cupcake. Heaven.. oh and I got to meet Cake daddy!!! He’s a cool guy and passionate about his work kudos to him for making his dreams happen!! PS CHECK OUT THE BATHROOM!

We came across this gem while leisurely driving down wilton drive in the Fort Lauderdale area. This place stands out with it's hot pink patio furniture! It caught our eye and once we saw the name, CAKE DADDY, how could we not stop to check out the tantalizing treats! And tantalizing is an understatement! The decor of this place is fantastic and whimsically! Make sure you check out the bathroom, yes, that's right, the bathroom, the imagination of the owners is incredible. Anyways, I digress, let's get to the good stuff...all the wonderful baked goodies!! We couldn't resist trying a few of the oversized cupcakes... lemon blueberry( so yummy and summer fresh), chocolate raspberry ( need I say more), Red velvet (so delish with creamy icing) and my favorite, the carrot cake with cream cheese icing! You can tell they make these treats with care and love!! Worth every dollar! We also tried the peanut butter thumb print cookie and the keylime tart with a thick, buttery graham cracker crust and whipped cream topping! Next time we are getting a cake. You must check this place out for a quick treat or better yet, bring some of cake daddy to your next celebration, you will be the hit of the party!! Had to post lots of pictures cuz it all is so good!

One word: Delectable! From the fun & upbeat atmosphere to the perfectly balanced cakes, you can’t go wrong at Cake Daddy’s!
I couldn’t decide between the key lime pie and the orange meringue… so I got both!
I didn’t know a cake could taste so refreshing and full of flavor! I will definitely be back to try their breakfast menu!

Delightful first experience here at Cake Daddy's! I popped in on Valentines day and grabbed two of the strawberry cupcakes and they were scrumptious!!! And the service was so friendly, upbeat and delightful! Can't wait to pop back for more treats!!
