I had one of my worst experiences ever dealing with this shop. I had them install a lift kit with long arms and shocks, alignment, etc. (around $12k), and they messed up the installation in so many ways that it is almost impossible to describe all the mistakes they did on the installation but here are some of the issues: Stripped bolts/nuts, missing the installation of critical lift kit parts, installed the suspension arms in the wrong positions, loose bolts and/or used the wrong size bolts, they bent some of the lift kit long-arm brackets.
After they gave my vehicle back, the vehicle had a terrible noise coming from the driveline (which ended up being damaged), the frame had been bent due to these guys not installing critical parts included in the lift kit (crush plates), the lift springs were all bent and rubbing against the shocks, the aligment was completely off, etc., etc..To make the long story short, I had to take my vehicle to another real specialized shop which they fixed all the mistakes these unprofessional and untrained technicians at California Wheels performed, I had to spend a lot of hours dealing with the liftkit and shocks manufacturers getting replacement parts, spent another $900 on parts that these dumb guys damaged and had to get replaced, and another $3k on labor for the removal and reinstallation of the whole long arm kit.

Be extremely careful with taking your vehicle to these guys.. My suggestion to you is to run away from this shop (if the price is too good to be true, then is more likely not true which you will end up paying much more with all the issues these people will make you go through, worst case possibly even a terrible-deadly accident for improper installation). These dumb guys eventually stopped responding to my texts and never responded to any of the emails where I and the lift kit manufacturer would describe in detail their mistakes with the installation... Read the other bad customer reviews of their second California Wheels store in Sacramento.

This place is so shady. I paid them up front for some tires. I then decided to sell my truck so I went to get a refund. They wanted to charge me almost $200 restocking fee so I said tell me where I signed for that. The skinny young guy working the desk then went to the back and reappeared with a forged document that looked nothing like my signature. He had opened beers behind the desk. And then after trying to file a claim, I went back to get the refund minus the restocking fee and they said there’s nothing they can do. Crooked business do not give them your patronage.

Absolutely satisfied with this place. These guys took care of me and my truck. I will be a returning customer. Happy that this business is in my neighborhood. I got a 6” full suspension lift with wheels and tires. I am happy with the price and value I got for it. I don’t understand the negative comments that some have posted here, Azeem and his guy in the shop are great people! Take it from a customer that actually spent a good amount of money here. I’d come again. Best deal around, and I have dealt with these kinds of businesses around the Bay Area with previous vehicles I’ve owned. Glad I decided to go with this businesses over multiple quotes I received. 🙏🏾 See you guys again when I decide to upgrade or wear these tires out. Lol!

I really thought I’d like this place for good tires and deals, I was told by the owner I’d be getting a new set of some good tires and we agreed on a price and time, I show up and had to wait 45 minutes for this guy becuase he was coming from “Sacramento” and for some reason apparently his workers couldn’t mount the tires by themselves, He ends up showing up and brought me inside to pay, another 30 minutes go by and his workers brought me my wheels with the wrong tires on them, I tried talking to the owner and said these are the wrong tires let me get my money back and he proceeded to shut the door on me and pulls a fast one. I will never give my money to these people agian

I recently brought my car to this shop to have the front tire replaced and the alignment done. Unfortunately, the experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had.

My car has a wheel lock that requires a specific key to unscrew the tire. Instead of handling it properly, the mechanic completely messed up my lock. To make matters worse, they tried to cover their mistake by using the spare locks I had in my trunk—without telling me.

This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. Not only did they damage my property, but their attempt to hide it showed a complete lack of professionalism.

Save yourself the time, frustration, and potential damage to your car. I strongly recommend finding another shop that values honesty and quality service.

So far so good. Installed some nice all weather TBB tires on my Tesla 3. Very fast service. Good explanations for all my questions. About to have one of my VW ID.4 tires replaced and expect the same professionalism and courtesy. Will update if there's any change in experience.

This place was incompetent installing my rims! They sold me some lock nuts that I never requested that we're too short. A couple months later my back wheel fell off on the freeway, causing damage to my car. I learned of this from the ford dealership who showed me the wheel spacing on the studs, and who ever sold you these rims were responsible. They wouldn't cover the cost for a new rim and didn't pay for my tow and didn't pay for my rent a car. These guys are a bunch of clowns and I am in the process of taking them to court. Don't ever do business with a company like this! They totally blew me off! If I could give them 0 stars I totally would!
Beware!
