Really cool service. Cold ❄Beer❄IPA's❄ Mexican❄Domestic❄Imported❄a variety of liquor from vodka to tequilas and a small lil restaurant inside that also sells tacos with a small meat department.

My grandparents, the Carlton’s, built this market in the late 60’s. It replaced the one we had on the corner of Cogswell and Ramona where the gas station is now. I went past a couple years ago and almost didn’t recognize it! I grew up at that store, starting as a box girl, then cashier for 12 years, and I managed the liquor store part for a while. When my grandparents sold it 1977, the family market style went away. They originally had Carlton’s Market as an open front store on Valley Blvd, I believe this was in the 30’s, then they moved to the corner spot, and then finally to the place it is now. My grandparents, parents, and myself worked that location for many years, good memories!

The employees here at Carlton's market are friendly and so very helpful! Great selection of snacks and drinks, this is the one stop spot for your party!. Haven't tried the restaurant yet, but sure smells good!

there is a new restaurant inside carltons ITS AWESIME.This was my 1st time there and everything tasted geat. i got a shrimp stack, avocado on the bottom pico di gallo and then the shrimp on top. with fresh tortilla chips. my friend got a bacon burger which came with fries. total bill was 18.00. The CO-OWNER charyla does it all. i cant give enough compliments. best food ive had in awhile**

I love the produce here, it is always good and low priced. The variety has gone down since COVID but I hope it goes back to normal soon. The employees are very nice and helpful too. There's a separate business inside that serves Mexican food and butcher meats. You can find a wide variety of adult beverages as well as some shirts for those who have SGV pride.

Wow! This was our nieghborhood market back in the day’s, I’m 56 years old grew up on Manson street in El Monte. It was sad walking in this market. Nothing like I remember it. The liquor part was separate from the market part and Back in the day’s it was clean. Dang I walked in and the guy at counter was rude and cussing like a sailor! No respect! I got it out of system I will never come back again. I will enjoy the good memories I have of this market .
