We stayed in the walnut cabin. It was cozy, retro, and comfortable. We loved the king size bed and clean linens. The living space was perfect for a family game night or movie night. I love that our cabin had a washer and dryer too we were able to dry our snow clothes without any issues. It was raining during our stay so we didn’t get to fully enjoy the beautiful grounds so we will be back!

We stayed at Cave Springs with several other families and each family had their own hotel or cabin. Each one was so unique and had its own charm. The location was amazing with really fun walks to the botanical gardens and the cave spring down by the river. Mount Shasta is really close by and we took the kids sledding and had a blast! The vibe of the resort is so laid-back. It would be great to do a personal retreat here. We will be coming back for sure!

Absolutely loved my stay at Cave Springs! The thought and care the management put into the place is so amazing. The fact that they strung lights throughout the whole place makes it feel instantly dreamy the moment you drive in. Everything is clean and tidy, and the decor and modern feel is so nice…

I love the fire pits with chairs around it outside and how close it is to hiking trails and the river. Highly recommend staying there! It’s like you’re nestled in the woods but in a nice bougie place that still feels like a campground.

Just a few days with my daughter before she starts her job, so having a comfortable stay to sit and visit or find an activity to enjoy surrounded by nature was important to us. Cave springs in Dunsmuir was perfect. The staff were helpful, patient with me when I forgot my entry code and responsive.
The location was easy to find and lovely, not too fancy and not too basic.
The closest restaurant, Yaks, has great burgers and tater tots named Scott’s tots that I swear as some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth.
We will absolutely be revisiting Cave Springs in the future and I suggest you do too.

We had a great time with family and friends during our stay here. The Sacramento River runs behind the resort with beautiful walking trails available to explore. Our cabin was comfortable, clean and cozy with a kitchen that had everything we needed to cook our meals. There are so many great spots nearby- we ended up sledding and hiking to McCloud falls. This is a great place to stay!

Cave Springs resort is a rare gem! The recent updates have served this resort well. Our family had a wonderful stay in one of the Modern cabins.The new owner has creatively found ways to balance the rustic charm that cave Springs has been known for over the years with modern amenities and improvements. Our weekend here was perfect! Location has great walk-to hikes nearby, river access by the beautiful botanical gardens & meadow. The modern cabins were all (4 in our party) so cute and well appointed, and the airstream was as well. So many nice touches around the resort that made it great for all ages. Would love to go back some time soon and explore Dunsmuir, surrounding trails and Lake Shasta more! You could explore surrounding areas for a week!
