Update: I came back after, maybe 8months, still an amazing experience. I think they got faster with the food and the customer service is still amazing! They are welcoming and warm. Food is delicious, every time. The cornbread is amzing!!! Lemon pepper chicken as well. My hubby loves the macaroni

Once again I enjoy this restaurant so much and the food, I told my husband this is where I wanted to eat for my birthday. Again, Cheris Southern Kitchen did not fail me. Thank you! The food is delicious. I had the fish and my husband had the chicken…I may see you again this Sunday! This is some good down home cooking.

Today our company catered in Cherie Southern Kitchen. Fried chicken, Catfish, string beans,green,sweet yams,rice,gravy, and mac & cheese. Let's just say, I've been with this company for almost 10years, more people went back for seconds trays and party food trays were most gone. Thank you for your Southern comfort food and it was very well cooked. Happy Black History month.

Amazing authentic southern food! My husband is from North Carolina and highly approves of all the food we ate: fried catfish, fried chicken, mac and cheese, candied yams, peach cobbler, and caramel cake. I’m obsessed with mac and cheese and it is the best southern style I’ve had at any restaurant. Good prices and large portions. Great service, but they only have tables for two or five people so if you have 6 people eating in you’ll have to call ahead to reserve the space. This is definitely our new favorite southern spot in the tri valley!

My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cherie's Southern Kitchen, and the experience left me with a Heartwarming Appreciation for Soulful Cuisine.

From the moment we stepped in, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff set the tone for a delightful evening. The menu boasted a rich variety of soul food classics, each dish promising a taste of tradition. We started with their Fried Chicken Plate, Mac & Cheese, Cornbread and Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey, and the flavors immediately transported me to a place of culinary nostalgia.

The main courses were nothing short of exceptional. The Smothered Oxtail over Rice and Candied Yams were expertly prepared, capturing the essence of soul food with every bite. The attention to detail and the perfect balance of spices showcased the chef's dedication to authenticity.

To top it off, the dessert selection was the perfect finale to an already stellar meal. Naomi's 7-Up Pound Cake and Nana's Banana Pudding is the perfect sweet note to end the evening.

This is my 2nd visit to Cherie's and (most of) the food is delicious!! Also, the owners are there and they are extremely friendly and polite. The fried catfish is very good and several of us had the candied yams which are yummy, but their highlight (so far) on the menu is their oxtails, rice and gravy. EXCELLENT!!! And I love that they have grape Koolaid as a drink! The only disappointment is their mac'n cheese. The cheese isn't mixed thoroughly into the macaroni so once you eat the top, there's no more cheese! Also, don't be in a hurry because the wait for your food is a little long, but the food makes it worth the wait!

I wanted soulfood for my bday & Cherie's did not disappoint. It was our 1st time there & the food was hot, well seasoned, & fresh. The fried chicken was moist & crispy & the gumbo was so good & there was plenty of meat in there! Even the French fries were cooked perfectly & tasted good at the end of our meal. The greens were yummy also-really, we all enjoyed our meals & the portion sizes & prices were great. We all said we would go back. The owner's bday is tomorrow & mine is today. It was a Scorpio- friendly dining event. I can't wait to go back & get that peach cobbler.

My cousin is super picky about food so when she recommended this place I knew it was going to be good.

Went here on my way to a meeting recently. They have a good menu with lots of options. The good is made fresh so you’ll wait a few minutes for the food but it’s worth the wait.

I decided to get the catfish with yams and greens (I’ll get the seafood gumbo next time). I also ordered the caramel peach cobbler. Everything was great, everything had a lot of flavor, the catfish wasn’t greasy and was seasoned and cooked perfectly.

I love supporting small businesses and the people were very nice they talked to me and thanked me for coming in. This is family owned so go support them!!!
