I stopped by Chica Chic Boutique to find something special for my girlfriend for a surprise date. The owner was incredibly helpful in picking out three outfits, and I was amazed at how well they understood her style just from a picture. When I surprised her with the outfits, she absolutely loved all of them! They fit her personality perfectly, and we had a beautiful date night thanks to their expert help. Highly recommend this boutique for anyone looking for stylish, thoughtfully chosen pieces!

Buyer Beware! I NEVER leave bad reviews but I just had the worst experience with Jessica the owner of Chica Chic and from the other reviews it looks like i am not the only one that she has been extremely rude too over the years. It seems she can be nice to you as long as everything is going her way and you are purchasing but if something doesn’t go her way she turns into a rude narcissist who will say whatever she is thinking out loud. After buying an outfit there a few weeks ago, I went in to get the shirt altered (which she had told me I could do). From the minute I walked in she was making rude comments to me. When I told her I was just looking, and that I had no events coming up she said "your so Miami with your leggings, YSL purse and no where to go". Then when I tried on the shirt she insisted I didn't need it altered. Her seamstress agreed with me that it was too big (which I shouldn’t have to discuss with her since I am paying for the alteration and I am the customer). When I told her the straps were falling off she told me that she was trying to save me money and that there were bigger problems in the world than straps falling down. When she found out I wasn’t buying anything today she got upset and referred to other times that I have gone in and asked her to hold something and haven’t come back. Not that I owe her ANY explanation but if I haven’t come back in the past it’s because something has come up or I changed my mind and no longer want your product and I shouldn’t be made to feel bad about it! Her job is to service people even if they don’t buy. Judging from of her replies to the 20+ other bad reviews about her, she clearly likes to deflect and never take responsibility about her poor communication skills so unfortunately this behavior will likely continue. Last time I checked, people shop and try on cloths (without buying) all the time, if it’s such an inconvenience for her then she is in the wrong business. I am shocked that she would treat a paying customer this way. It's a shame because they have nice cloths and I was looking forward to buying a few outfits there once we finalized our Spring Break destination but that will not be happening. She might want to consider retiring if she no longer has the patience to treat clients with respect. Obviously her response here will be like the other 20+ negative reviews she has received. She may think she has a “successful” business but with the bad energy that she is putting out in the world it is a matter of time until it catches up with her.

Response to Jessica: it’s interesting that all of your competitor boutiques in the area are able to get their happy customers to leave them ratings which rate them at 4.3 and above while your stores’ Google rating is way below them at 3.2 but keep telling yourself that your business is successful and your happy clients are too busy to write you reviews….

Horrible owner…
I stopped by this boutique while I was in the area, curious to check it out for the first time. However, within just 5 minutes of being there, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth thanks to the owner's incredibly rude behavior. I asked a simple question, and rather than providing any sort of helpful response, she walked away mid conversation, completely ignoring me. It was as if she couldn't be bothered with a potential customer, which speaks volumes about her lack of professionalism and poor character.

It's clear from reading other reviews that this dismissive attitude is a recurring issue with her, which makes me wonder why anyone would want to shop here. The owner seems to believe she's running an upscale boutique, but the store is located in an ugly little strip mall, and there's nothing luxurious about being treated with such disdain.

On top of the terrible customer service, the clothing is very overpriced for what it is. If you’re looking for the same styles at better prices, you’re better off going to Atikshop in Brickell. I’ve been shopping there for over 10 years, and they have the same clothes and offer amazing sales every season. The customer service at Atikshop is much better, plus the store is in Brickell, which is a way nicer and more upscale area, so you don’t have to be seen shopping at Chica Chic.

Save your time and avoid this place. There are much better options out there and you can avoid having to talk to the owner. I certainly won't be coming back.

Update to the owners response:

Actually that’s not how the story went. Maybe that’s how you think it went in your head but that’s not how it went at all. I didn't ask about returning a pair of pants or anything about it being final sale; I simply wanted to try them on, and you said no, which is okay—I understand store policies. But when I tried to ask another question, you walked away and completely ignored me. That’s the real issue here: you're dismissive and need to come down from your high horse. I would’ve just bought them even though I wasn’t sure if they were going to fit me but after that interaction with you, I knew I didn’t want to give any business to this store.

And since you mentioned knowing the owners of Atikshop, it's surprising you haven't learned from them about how to treat customers with respect and professionalism.

What a disappointment; there is no reason to treat a customer like trash. The owner wants the customer to buy what she advises; if you don’t, she gets mad. She shouldn’t be in an industry where customer service is essential and patience is needed.
Now I understand why going to Maicy’s will be a better experience than entering this boutique; I will take that advice from her.

Regarding the business hours, I recommend changing them since it is not logical to be open until 6:00 pm if the customer will be treated with that arrogance.

Her experience in fashion won't be enough if empathy, compassion, and kindness are not the core of the business.

08/15 I'm afraid I still have to disagree with what you are saying; I was about to purchase some of the items, and there is nothing wrong about asking for something you may have available. I am disappointed because I have brought friends to buy here and have been your customer for about six years, but I won't return to your store again.

I just bought a dress for a wedding I had overseas coming up soon and and each one of the women there including the owner herself helped me pick out the ones that suited my body the most…. I had many options to try on, They were honest and gave me their opinions of how the dresses looked on me, not just trying to sell me anything… they would help me zip the dresses that I couldn’t zip myself, they genuinely did help me choose a beautiful dress for my occasion! Great customer service! Thank you girls !!!

What a disappointment you have turned out to be. Your lack of empathy and human decency is despicable.
I went to your store with intentions of simply exchanging some pants, never trying to get money back nor to rip you off, which is how you made me feel. I’ve been a loyal supporter of your small business for years and have never returned anything. It wasn’t the fact that you didn’t grant an exchange at all, it was the fact that you didn’t even look at me when I was talking to you. You dismissed me completely as if you had an animal in front of you but even animals are treated with kindness and respect something you completely lack. I have zero idea how you stay afloat with your pretentious and arrogant behavior. I even tried calling and expressing to you how you made your long time client feel and once again you completely disregarded me by saying I was frustrated. Look at yourself in the mirror. I feel sorry for you, your business, your loyal clients but most importantly your family. Time to look inward my dear, no one is above god. You completely deceived a loyal client.

The owner is immature and doesn’t appreciate honesty from her customers. I explained to Jessica via social media my situation and I was blocked for being honest!!
Story attached below.

So sad to have to write the same thing as many others. Today I entered the store at 5:40-which I understand is near closing time. However, the door was locked and I was greeted by an angry employee "do you need anything I'm closing in 10 minutes" she stated. Not a "hello" "welcome" "is there anything I can help you with". I explained I was actually looking for a specific item and I had been in contact via social media for which she stated "that wasn't me" and began to shut the door in my face! For which I stated "Ok well I would still like to try on and purchase the item" she hesitantly let me in "you have 10 minutes so you better hurry up" I was so shocked I didn't even reply. It was 5:42 I had exactly 18 minutes until closing. I have worked in retail and specifically in small boutiques. From the customer service skills I have gained and from just a simple understanding of customer service IF you are in a rush to leave you kindly state that closing time is at 6pm but if there is anything that one can help them with they would be happy to. However, clearly this young female was not taught any manners or for that matter any customer service skills. Anyways, I was in and out before closing time, to be exact I was out by 5:55. I understand closing at times takes long or inventory needs to be done after hours but I wasn't in the store after hours. In a short, the boutique is cute but I probably won't be back because of the poor service provided and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there even as a previous shopper. Like stated in other Yelp reviews; it's a boutique- which usually means you can find the same items at almost any other boutique and from now on I would prefer to give my business to someone who appreciates their customers. Very saddening, disheartened and just truly shocked by the way I was treated today. Jessica, I wish you nothing but the best of luck on your boutique and hope you continue to have many more years of success however, I will continue to share my story with your shoppers because this should not be be acceptable

My daughter received a gift receipts for her 15‘s in May. We went into use it and were told that it expires after 90 days. It does not say that anywhere on the receipt. It was just a gift so there was no way that anyone will know that it expires in 90 days. It is insane that if you take someone’s money and you don’t use it in 90 days then you lose it? That is not even fair. I also forgot to tell the owner that right before May I spent over $500 in my other daughters wedding outfits for her honeymoon because a friend of mine told me about this boutique and I had never been there even though it is a few blocks from my house. It’s really sad because they have cute things. Unfortunately I will not longer be shopping there. How could a policy of a gift be written on the register. I did not buy the gift card. It was given to us. Where does it say ON the gift card that it cannot be used after 90 days. Your response does not even make sense. I did not say that I spent $500 when I was there because you are right, all customers should be treated fairly and the same. Too bad this is the way you treat them. I pray your business continues to do well, hopefully you will reconsider some of your unfair policies.
