If I knew then what I know now, I would've NEVER moved to Waukegan! The police are vultures. They wait for oftentimes unaware motorist to get on the Metra, and they attack! The parking at the Metra station, is like a feeding ground, for the police. No signage to prevent you from getting a ticket, but they're sure waiting to ticket you. Not warnings, tickets. Hungry and despicable!!!!

What a perfect example of unrealized potential. This could be the star of the Illinois lake shore. But no.The city is strictly an amateur hour operation run by a string of mayoral idiots. Half the city council is even worse.

The city allows corrupt cops to roam freely and assault citizens who are handcuffed. Unless there is top down enforcement of laws to include the supreme law of the land, we will never see a change.

There should be an option for 0 Stars.
This city is awful.
Bad customer service.
When you call them, they don't answer. And if they do, they'll have you on hold. I left a voicemail and I never got called back.
They take for ever to process Building Permits.
They don't even reply on the portal they have available to communicate regarding the permits.

Waukegen City and harbor dont want visitors to spend money and have good time , instead they rather get income from police creating check point which maka traffic and visiting away That Was my last time visiting.

Shame on you City of Waukegan for having the RUDEST individual working at a desk where people need assistance! I have never encountered someone as rude as the lady (partially deformed arms)who sits and does city stickers and police records. ZERO customer service skill. I am embarrassed for the city to have someone like this representing them!!!

One-star for the phone situation. They are unable to be contacted by phone, it just forwards you to the police department. What is the point of the phone number then?
