I came here to get a consultation on having something custom made for my boyfriend and he knew exactly what I was wanting! We went over every detail and made sure it was exactly what my boyfriend would love! He finished the piece so fast, and it was PERFECT! I came to Robert Hale for a custom-fit water buffalo leather belt for dress wear. Robert is great to work with. He built out my new belt as I waited. You can't ask for better service or craftsmanship.

I bought my 1st belt from Mr. Hale at the Great Gulf Coast Art Festival in 2014. I will never buy a department store belt again.

Please note, my belt from 6 years ago is still fine, I like wearing it for casual wear. A craftsman-made leather belt can last me a lifetime.

Coastal was suggested to me by my wife to get a holster and belt made. Mr Hale is very knowledgeable and very engaging. He explained the process he was going to use in making my holster. I found his design to be practical and very intuitive. He took the time to listen to my ideas and made suggestions he thought would improve my experience with a holster. The finished product exceeded my expectations. The holster is one of the most comfortable I have ever worn. His customer service skills are excellent and his communication throughout the process was spot on. Beyond that he seems to be a genuinely nice guy. The belt he made for me fits great and looks great. I even end up buying a handmade guitar strap from him that is of just as high a quality. Well worth traveling across the county to spend my money on excellent products.

We’ve purchased three belts from here, for different family members. The owner custom fits the belt to the person. We can attest they are long-lasting, even when used under the pressure of going in and out of a vehicle often (such as for a delivery job). The belts are well worth the extra money, as they last much longer, hold up pants better, and can handle keys, phone, knife and/or a holster hanging from it.

After a lifetime of destroying belts, I met this vendor at a Savannah, GA craft show. I described the issue I was having to Bob (belt delaminating) and told him that I went through on average, one belt per year. I remember Bob taking off his own belt, showing it to me, and saying "that belt is 10 years old". It was in perfect condition and I was astonished. Although they had many different styles (including a dragonfly belt that I loved) I bought one brown and one black belt. That was 10 years ago! The belts I bought from Bob see very hard daily use and still look beautiful. I was always bothered that I didn't buy the dragonfly belt and recent came across his card again. I'm happy to say that I've now purchased my long sought-after dragonfly belt, and now likely have a lifetime supply of excellent quality, custom made and custom fit belts. I HIGHLY recommend Coastal Leather Gifts and More. You won't be disappointed.
