I don’t usually write negative reviews, but Cool Stuff Games in Tampa left me no choice. This place clearly doesn’t care about the TCG (Trading Card Game) community—they’re only focused on making a profit. I went in to buy two Pokémon cards, both priced, and was ready to check out. But when I got to the counter, the employee told me they couldn’t sell the cards at the listed price because they were "worth more." This isn’t just bad practice—it’s downright unethical.

On top of that, it took over five minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me, even though three employees were just standing around. The lack of care and respect for customers is appalling. If you’re part of the TCG community or value fair business practices, stay far away from this place.

When i first moved to the area, this was my main shop, and I was in there all the time. Over the months, I have noticed that the lack of stock has made the staff more callus and ultimately rude. I can understand and sympathize with the annoyance of being asked the same question day in and day out, but to take it out on customers is not okay. When trying to pick up singles, it wasn't until I was already working with someone that they told me to use the computers for larger quantities. There were 3 staff members and 4 people playing Magic, so to be told it was time-consuming seemed irrelevant. Sad to see the quality of care and overall quality of the store deminishing.

Best card game shop ever. As solo playing woman the struggle to feel welcomed or on equal field is hard. But they always make me feel welcomed and I've made great friends, recommend to all people. They care about their customers better than most card shops I have been to.

I try to give businesses a fair chance, but Cool Stuff Games in Tampa really let me down. I walked in eager to buy a couple of Pokémon cards that were priced and displayed on the shelves, only to have the cashier tell me they wouldn’t honor the listed price because the cards were "worth more now." This was not only unprofessional but also felt pretty shady.

The customer service was equally poor. I waited for help for what seemed like forever. When they finally noticed me, their indifferent attitude made it clear they didn’t care if I stayed or left.

If you're a collector or part of the TCG community, I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other stores that actually appreciate their customers and value the hobby.

I was really disappointed to hear about my boyfriend’s experience at Cool Stuff Games in Tampa. He went in excited to buy a couple of Pokémon cards, but the store refused to honor the listed prices, claiming the cards were "worth more." It’s frustrating and honestly feels dishonest to change prices at checkout like that -- not to mention, he drove roughly 30 minutes in traffic to this store.

On top of that, he said the customer service was awful—no one acknowledged him for several minutes, even though employees were just standing around. It’s clear this store doesn’t care about the TCG (Trading Card Game) community and is only focused on profit. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for fair prices or decent service.

I love pokemon and collecting poke.on cards. This certain store has a very small amount of pokemon cards on site. Their main focus is magic yugioh and some other tcg. They do host games there I put a pic of their schedule as of June 2023. They explain to me that all the pokemon cards they have are online. But if u like MTG this is definitely the place for you. Customer service is awesome and the store is very well kept. Hence the 5 stars ⭐

Wonderful staff helped me figure out what the right gift would be for my husband's Valentine's gift. The store was very clean and had a good amount of cleanliness procedures in place. Wiping tables, sanitizer clean pens to sign at the register. Plus they had a bunch of space to play and a great selection of cards to pick through. Oh and the sound foam on the ceiling helps to keep noise reasonable
