The best coffee I've had by far! I've lived in Washington state which is a state know for coffee and thus is better than any coffee out there! Ron is very passionate about his coffee and can teach even the most knowledgeable coffee snobs a thing or two definitely recommend!

First and foremost, the coffee is incredible. I haven't tasted flavors this robust and distinguishable from another brand or blend in years! My favorite blend is the Nepal Himalayan -- incredibly smooth, little to no bite (in my humble opinion), and a delectable combination of complimenting flavors. It's quite literally perfect.

Secondly, I need to highlight the Service here. When a business does what they can to go above and beyond to ensure their customers are taken care of, it's almost incumbent upon us as said customers to let it be known. I experienced an issue with my order due to our good old "pals" over at USPS. No kind of assistance whatsoever, even with the issue being on their end. In comes Cortez Coffee Roasters thoughtfulness and A1 Customer Service there to assist me with the replacement of my order in a matter of minutes. Easy.

Although they may experience this issue from time to time with USPS like what was explained to me, I appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness to help in that moment any way. This is the type of thing that keeps a customer and makes me want to recommend to others -- and believe that I have!

Thanks again, CCR! I appreciate you all, particularly Patrick who directly helped me here. Come for the coffee, but stay for the service (and the coffee!)

Just got my first order in the other day, ordered whole bean from Nepal. Shipping was fast. Their website is awesome. Top notch customer service is definitely their focus.

The coffee itself is next level. The scent, the appearance, the taste is caffeinated perfection. I'd write this coffee a poem if it could read. I can't pick out flavors like nutty creamy caramel, because my palate is not up to par apparently, but it tastes simply awesome. You'd be committing a crime against nature by putting anything in this. However, it's your beans so you do with them what you will, I'm doing mine neat.

Next up is the Volcan Azul and I can't wait to try that.

I have to say their chocolate is truly phenomenal if you’re anywhere in the area forget going to Starbucks and stop here get yourself a great espresso or a nitro cold brew grab some Mexican Ecuadorian and Dominican chocolate cocoa nibs and you’re never going to regret it

Probably one of, if not the best coffee roaster in the valley. Cortez is the only roaster with direct access to 3-5 Costa Rican farms, providing beans just unavailable to most other roasteries. Second they use traditional air roasters and degas their beans for 4-7 days before bagging. If you're a coffee head, this is your place. If you're happy with the grocery store, sample their coffees slowly with an open mind. Cortez coffee is to grocery store coffee, what Hershey's is to fine swiss chocolate.

Just to ponder:
Cortez has coffee that tastes like cherries and chocolate (with no sugar added), apricot and spice, cardamom and clove - basically flavors I didn't know could exist in coffee or anywhere. It's an other worldly experience. I'm a little hesitant sharing this, I don't want my favorite coffee roaster to change!!

As of November 2023, one of their suppliers suddenly passed away, they should have a new shipment in before or first week of March 24.
