Lack of organization, wait line is ridiculous over 5hrs. You 1st wait outside to get inside the building once inside you join another line. And that line doesn’t move at all, only 2 staffs working for a line that have over 30 people waiting. Staffs are very rude when you approach them for questions. There are only 6 seats available for handicapped, no chairs for the ordinary people, not even the pregnant women. If you choose to go to this office be ready to have a long miserable day.

Single mom, 4 kids..was getting $233 a month to help feed my family. I have never received child support but my kids father had a hearing and he magically gave me $40 for the whole month. I reported this to DCF, they said since my unearned income increased, my Foodstamps decrease to $110. The math is not mathing here. Especially when I told them this is inconsistent money but I am reporting because I “have to”. They don’t count the fact that I have 2 of my kids in braces and paying monthly (the doctor told me their bites were so bad that it effects their overall health but Medicaid doesn’t deem it that way) , it’s not considered an “expense” in their eyes. The same way a car note and gas/transportation costs are not considered a counted expense. But it is a necessity, not a luxury. No one listens there. The lady told me that I need to make my kids father pay child support and she ends up hanging up on me. They are rude, disrespectful and you can never speak to a supervisor or call back to tell on them because they either don’t want to transfer you to a supervisor or don’t pick up the phone after hours of wait times. They make sure that you cannot report anything purposely and that’s why they treat you the way they do, there is no one to tell.

Well, I haven't been here/DCF since 2022.
Honestly, I was blessed not to have a bad experience. Though I've witnessed what others are making complaints about.
Security guard,certain employees, etc..
But like going to the dmv, expect to be in a long,slow-moving line. Especially if you arrive a few hours or more after they open. The only moment that sucked for me when I went was after waiting for a long time to be seen. I was told I had to go to another location, which wasn't far from this place.
HAVING PATIENCE IS KEY. BEING UPSET WON'T CHANGE THE OUTCOME IN A POSITIVE WAY. Also, I called several times before actually speaking to someone ,which shocked me because my phone once went dead from being fully charged, that's how long I waited

This place will refer you to Manors Medicaid instead of filling out your federal application in site. Here, they will claim that there are Spanish speaking representative who will attend you at Manors Medicaid.

When we arrived to Manors Medicaid, they did not have anyone who spoke Spanish. They made us wait longer than 1 hour for our turn and attended people who came after we arrived before us.
They prioritized non-Spanish speakers. And, when they filled out my relative’s form they did not do so correctly.

This Children and Family branch and Manors Medicaid show discrimination against Spanish speakers.

The WORST customer service your on hold over three hours the English and Creole line. They are not willing to help, they are working from doing there stuff and having people on hold for their dear life. I hope they are really understanding the effect and do something because it’s only getting worse not better.

We are happy with the visit, there were no queues, the workers did everything quickly, scanned the documents, although it was raining that day, after reading reviews about this place we were afraid, but it turned out that everything was not so bad.

I called about three different numbers to get help with renewing my insurance and after none of those worked I came to this one address I found. The employees are not helpful, the lines are way too long and too slow, and they have like five chairs only for disabled people. There was a pregnant lady sitting on the floor ahead of me in line and the security guard made her get up. Absolutely ridiculous, but I need their help and have no one else to ask questions.
