This store sells fake fossils! Which really sucks because I loved this store. I first went in 2010, and again recently this past January 2024. I was thrilled to see this store was still there because I had remembered loving it back when I visited over a decade ago. Last month I purchased a $40 or $45 (can’t remember) trilobite. Due to the large size and cheap price, I even asked the person checking me out, ‘this isn’t fake is it?’ They assured me it wasn’t, that the people they get it from just get the best prices. Well, did some super basic research when I got home and learned the trilobite I purchased and carefully wrapped up to fly back home with, is 100% fake. With cast bubbles and all. I even went as far to break it open with my rock hammer…and it is confirmed a fake. Not even a great one at that (now that I know what I’m looking for). I hardly ever leave reviews, but, this really made me feel upset/disappointed. I do not know how this store has been around as long as it has…and if this one fossil i bought is fake, makes me wonder the authenticity of every single other thing in that store. BUYER BEWARE

Went her last week with a friend! So glad we stopped in! Found some really cool gems and best of all, the guy working was so kind and helpful!
