Cool record shop featuring CD's to the left room & vinyl on the right. Looked through the blues, jazz, soul/funk sections & they carry a varied selection at fair pricing. Some of the new cd's were under $10. Cashier was friendly. He gave me a good deal on the 3 postcards i purchased. Will definitely be back to browse some more.

A classic spot for all kinds of music. I hadn’t been there in about 30 years but it still felt the same.
Friendly folks working there with a real passion for the musics they sell.
RIP Chris Strachwitz. The store you founded is still going strong.

Wanted to support a local business and the store is cute enough with a good collection of records, but my partner bought 4 vinyls here, and we took the tags off only to discover 3 of them had old Amoeba music tags that listed the price that’s 1/3 or even a quarter of what we bought them for. If buying from Amoeba and reselling them at a massive price hike is how they’re getting their inventory then I think we’ll go directly to the source 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wow great selection found a ton of albums I was looking for .There was so many things that I wanted I had to stop shopping and check out for fear of spending any more money. Luckily I live 80 miles away. I will be back.

Great selection and prices. Large vinyl newly arrived used section with some hard to find items. I usually shop the rock, soul, and world sections. There is also a great selection of Jazz and Blues and more. Massive CD selection new and used with out of print stuff and great compilations. Friendly service, always good music playing.

Awesome place: home of Arhoolie Records, The Spot for Authentic Americana and hemispheric tunes .... plus rare and unusual Latin American, blues, zydeco, Cajun , and Tex-Mex recordings.... the very best. A hidden gem. When you go you will say, 'how did I never hear of this place before'? It WILL blow your mind!

An absolute gem of a record store holding a space for music where so many others have faded away. These guys are the ones keeping "down home" music alive and accessible.
