Beware! Offer very low prices for diamond/gemstone jewelry. They take the weight and do not evaluate the quality of stones. I offered a detailed assessment of pieces but was told they didn't need the information. If you want the best price, go to a jewelry store that buys jewelry. They will assess based on the overall quality of the piece and are GIA qualified.

I came here a couple months ago and Devin helped me and for me to be here was embarrassing. But I was having money problems and needed help and they helped me a lot. I was able to get about $1000 that I really needed they treated me with respect and kindness and I had to extend the loan because I wasn't capable of paying it back. But I got my stuff back and all was perfect Thank you El Cajon Jewelry and Loan. AND NOW HERE I AM Again needing help. I was pawning the same items and they gave me a bump in price and again nothing but respect and kindness. Melissa was also helping me because I had so many items to pawn and SHE WAS EFFICIENT AND MADE THE WHOLE PROCESS A BREEZE. THANK YOU YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

After checking out a couple of Jewelry places, I came across El Cajon Jewelry and Loan. I was having a hard time finding what I wanted. The other places were no help or willing to help. When I walked in El Cajon Jewelry and Loan I was greeted right away by 2 young female staff members. They were very polite. As I explained to one of the young ladies what I wanted, right away she said, “of course I can help you.” She was very friendly and full of positive vibes and energy. The employees were very nice and helpful; Kenzie gave excellent recommendations for jewelry and I was able to buy some really beautiful pieces. I even put some on layaway for the holidays. They have a really good and varied selection of items and their staff is knowledgeable. The owner is an expert on gems too so if you need something appraised or reset he's very professional.

Might be a good store 👉"If your not in the military". This store does not support or honor its financial responsibilities when lending to military. "The military lending act" is a LAW. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. This store is either practicing one of the two following.

A; Refusing service to military members
(DISCRIMINATION)

B; Not following the law (Military lending Act) when it comes to lending to military.

Regardless of if your making money on military or not you are required by law to honor interest limitations when lending to the military. It's not a club or a program you participate in. IT IS THE LAW!

To think people sacrifice their lives so the businesses back home get rich and spit on their rights is astounding.

This store also cheats when it comes to weights and measures of precious metals like gold and silver. They use a penny weight system instead of the standard universal system of GRAMS PER TROY OZ. They insist penny Weights offer more but there are more than enough basic math equations that prove that theory wrong.

You may also search "PENNY WEIGHTS SCAM" on YouTube!

They are cheating you on weights and measures. Do business at your own risk.

Short changing with pennyweights is not against the law. HOWEVER;

Refusing to honor the law when lending to military is flat out ILLEGAL!!! There are companies like JP Morgan, and capitol one who have had major issues in court for not honoring SCRA or other military benefits protected under federal LAW.

I urge this business to reconsider its strategy and continue to honor the law when lending to military. If your discriminating against military by Refusing to lend to them because of service that is beyond LOW!!

Well, after 30 years together, we finally decided to get married... at the last minute! My husband was looking at Pawn shops to buy himself a wedding band. He had heard you can get more for your money if you check out the Pawn shops. We went to El Cajon Jewelry and Loan and after trying on a few rings, he found the one he wanted. It is just his style- flashy! This was the only shop we went to. McKenzie was very helpful, as was Gary. They knew the wedding was only a couple of days away. McKenzie helped him get sized properly so they could send the ring off to be made larger. Gary ensured it was back in time for the wedding. That was so nice and we truly appreciated it. They both were great. No pressure at all and happy to show us the rings and tell us about each one before we found the right one. I mentioned that I have some jewelry that needs to be repaired and McKenzie said they can send it out to their jeweler to get the repairs done if I wanted to have them do it for me. So, I will be back to get the repairs done for my own jewelry as well. On Monday, after we were married, McKenzie called us to congratulate us! That was so thoughtful. We will definitely be back the next time we are looking for jewelry. I am very happy and impressed with El Cajon Jewelry and Loan. Thanks McKenzie and Gary!
