Delicious pastries and sandwiches. They have an assortment of other baked goods too. From cakes to donuts and whatever you might fancy.

They make your sandwiches fresh for you. Or, if you're in a hurry, they have to go boxes of sandwiches near the front entrance. I highly recommend the tuna salad sandwich. It was heavenly!

There's plenty of parking on both sides of the building and back.

It's definitely worth a visit for breakfast or lunch when you're in Bishop.

An amazing place for any kind of bread. We visited this bakery from NV on a recommendation and trust me I loved it. We tried multiple breads, all were delicious and totally different from the other in taste. The best thing I found there was the tasters of almost every single bread they were having in stock to taste on the spot before buying them.

Erick Schat’s bakery is a must stop place if you are in the Bishop area. They have a wide assortment of baked goods, especially known for their pullaway bread. I have yet to have an item I didn’t enjoy! Everything is savory and tasty. The bakery has two sides, on the right side is pastries and baked goods. On the left side is fresh breads and sandwiches. They have outdoor seating and a separate building for indoor sitting. Definitely give this place a try, you will be licking your fingers because it is so delicious.

What an interesting and wonderful little gem in the mountains. Erick Schat’s Bakery makes just about every single kind of bread and pastries known to mankind, and has organized them neatly on shelves for you to peruse, with plentiful samples scattered about. I bought some cookies and wish I’d bought more.

First time stopping in to this original place! Why I haven't stopped before beats me! We travel to Mammoth for snow boarding and trying all the spots that we have seen in our drive!
This was next on our list. The bread is amazing. It's super soft and fresh. Love the yeast smell of it! Not down, tomato focaccia! It says like a pizza. We warmed up all of our breads in the oven and it really brings the bread back to life. We are even freezing it since we bought 80 dollars worth of bread!!!
I'm looking forward to a delicious grilled cheese or a sandwich with that sour bread loaf.

The atmosphere and place is nice. Good vibes overall and appreciated it. Food and bread is over hyped.

Food is okay. I got an egg salad sandwich, one of the vegetarian options. 3/5 rating. I've made and had better.

Friends also bought the sourdough bread and it didn't have the sour taste that sourdough usually has. Just tasted like plain white bread . . .

This place is packed but the bread is phenomenal and it’s great to stop and grab bread for your trip or take home. It’s a full bakery and not only are their loafs of phenomenal bread to take but there are pastries and cookies. Great pastry selection. I love almonds so the almond butter cookies are fabulous. My dad adores fruit cake and I get a loaf of that for him. It’s traditional and tasty. The sandwiches are great! I’ve only ate egg salad but with the bread and traditional egg salad it’s simply good! Meanwhile my husband loves the roast beef sandwich. Again if you are a bread lover it’s a great stop! Fabulous for quick to go huge cold sandwiches. Perfect for pastries and cookies or cakes. However it’s always packed, insanely so, lines are long and if you want a hot sandwich you will wait a long time. I wish we had a bakery like this in my town,

Had to try this place after seeing it was so popular and had almost 5 stars. We started at the deli where we waited in line for a while, but the kitchen was moving very fast trying to fill orders. We got the bbq turkey and turkey club sandwiches. Highly recommend the bbq turkey - all the flavors were awesome. Sadly the turkey club was extremely disappointing as it was incredibly dry I couldn’t take more than 2 bites. The breads on both were good, but the slaw on the side was very subpar. They put 2 pecan sandy cookies in with our sandwiches which were delicious!

Next we went to the bakery sections to get some sweets - the cinnamon roll was dried out. The cannoli was surprisingly tasty and I loved the whipped filling.

I would stop by again and try different items. This place has a ton to offer - lots of choices! It’s certainly popular and always busy for a reason.
