Love this place. There are so many Ukranian/Russian/European products. And we haven't yet found any expired products here.

They have original Kiev cake!

In case you're not familiar with this place, it is tucked away down an alley from Redwood Road, which can make it a little tricky to find. Beyond that, they have items from places like Germany, Poland and similar countries from those regions in Eastern Europe. What makes this place stand out from some other European markets that I have seen, is they make many of their pastries onsite. On top of that, they have a decent refrigerator section with meats and other items that might be difficult to find at other places as well, and the staff is really helpful too. It's one of those places that make exploring other food cultures fun and interesting or just familiar for those who already have this established in their life.

Their Eastern European beer selection is fantastic! Which is better, Lithuanian or Ukrainian beer? It might take me 10 years and hundreds of liters to decide, what with all the Polish, Czech, German and Latvian beers confusing my decisions. And most everything in the deli case goes well with beer: chebureki and piroshki pies, hearty picnic salads and slaws. Their wines are diverse and interesting, the cookies are good with their teas, and the frozen pilmenyi and varenyki make a good change from ravioli once in a while. I avoid the cakes and sausages, although they are delicious I need to diet after all the beer and siberian pilmenyi. Well, maybe one sausage...

The store has good selection of various European products from Poland, Russia, Ukraine and many other countries that I don't recognize. Customer service was mediocre, but not expecting much.

This was our first visit. We bought 5 refrigerated/frozen items from this store and one of them had mold inside. This is supposed to be frozen/cold items. The expiration date is a few months away and seal was unbroken. I don't think the store is deliberately putting out moldy items, but it could be that the item was shipped non-refrigerated or they didn't take care to store the product at appropriate temperature. For a cold item to grow mold like this, what else could be bad?

I bought caramel cookies today which I noticed at home were 2 months expired. $9 were wasted because I had to throw it away since the cookies were not fresh and were not tasty. Also, the service wasn’t good at all. The cashier wasn’t nice.

We bought some candy at the store, it was INFESTED with worms, all of it. Please inspect the facility as soon as possible, stop selling worm-infested candy to parents and their kids. Will never buy anything here again.
